Updated Update.

Hi Everyone,
Here’s what I wrote on Tuesday:

It's Tuesday, December 21rst, 4:46pm

I'm typing this up, while in A. (for Work), with Rupindre, in a nice man's office. ...

I can't remember if I already told you or not, but on Monday, "Stargate:Atlantis" was a rerun (tonight too)... so instead Rupindre and D went to the cinema, to watch "Blade Trinity" I wasn't interested. I just stayed home and did some last minute Christmas stuff.
Tuesday and Wednesday evening were game nights, as usual. Don't remember if there was a L. Offices day on one of those, or not, I think so. ... The days and weeks are just blending into each other, it seems.

On Thursday, I would have gone to visit my friend Lady Misty, while Rupindre went to his voice lesson and to play a game that I don't like with our friend A... but Lady Misty was busy with University projects... so I stayed home and watched a Video Montage of the Craft Gang through the last 5 years. It was great. =) .. =)

Friday, we had the play... I think we ran several errands that day, not sure... that evening, of course, was the play... and after that we gave Our new friends L and S, a tour of Sarsfield's ... They seemed to enjoy that a lot. =) And we all got some freshly baked pies to take home. I got a blueberry one, that's my favorite that they make, and I had been craving it for months!... It's already half gone! ... Saturday we did some de-cluttering, and relaxed a bit...(actually, I don't remember what we did during the day)... then we had the last performance of the play. =)The kids (fellow carolers) were a little giddy. (me too, actually). ...The play went well. We helped to clear the set, Then we went out to the pub, for a chat... I'm SO glad it's over. But now that it IS, there are SOME things I'll miss, and it was a good experience. =)

Now, we start rehearsals and serious line studying, for the next play he's in... "Angel Street" ... in February/March.

Sunday, we got ambitious and energetic... we drained the hot tub, by hooking up the hose, to the drainage thingy, and also by carrying buckets full of water to the bath tub, and draining it there... after a while, we just had to wait for it to finish... so we rearranged stuff in the bedroom, and brought our bed from upstairs, to the bedroom... (yippee we have a bedroom again! =) .... And we used the box spring from the old bed as a headboard. And later we refilled the hot tub, by carrying buckets to it, and with the hose...The water wasn’t nearly as brown as the first time we filled it... So that’s good. =)... Anyway... we did a lot of labour intensive work... and we were tired, by the end of the day... but we still had to go in to work for a while... so I photocopied my cook book for E... I'm not sure when we got to bed... but it wasn't TOO late... but for some reason, yesterday (Monday) I just couldn't wake up! It's just weird for me... it was after 10 when I finally crawled out of bed because the phone was ringing a lot. It was Rupindre wanting to know if I was ready to go mail our Christmas cards... So I got up and we ran some errands... but it was one of those days, ... I forgot a bunch of things, and by the time we got to the post office they were closed for Lunch hour... etc... It was a very frustrating day. ... but, Rupindre got away from work again, later... (I didn't know).... and mailed my parcel for me , and got all the stamps needed for the cards. ..., =) ... Then, we rented a movie and got a few groceries...(again,hee hee, got the stuff we'd forgotten the first time (Like Stove Top Stuffing, for the Christmas Eve Gathering of my Family)...But it wasn't the brand we usually get, and we needed 6 boxes, but they only had 4! So we got a couple of a different flavour... so hopefully, it'll still be good. Went to E's to watch the movie with her, and gave her the cook book copy, and she loved it. =) ... The movie was the 1965 version of "The Flight of the Phoenix". It'll be interesting to compare notes with that one and the one that's in theaters now, which we hope to see soon. I did like it. Makes you think about humanity and other stuff. And there were things I expected to happen in a different way, that was cool. =)

And today... ... We had a bit of trouble getting up and under way this morning... The rooster crowed at 5:30 am.. but I think it was closer to 7:30am, when we left the house, and ... we were both so sleepy, that we ended up stopping at "Mastadon Ridge" for a nap,'til around 10am... but that helped... then we came here to the A OFfices.. and stuff seems to be going well for Rupindre's work... and I got the stamps on the cards (so they're ready to be dropped off, sorry they're so late!)... And I have completed and started another crocheted square, and I've made a head band for myself, which so far is working well. =) (the ones that I had that were store bought kept breaking, and my last one of a color I wasn't embarrassed to wear broke yesterday... and my hair is just silly, so I needed something. =) ... Anyway, I like it. =) ... And then Rupindre set up "web mail" for me... and so I was able to type a few e-mails...which is nice. =)
Now, I'm off to do some more crocheting...... We're going to NB, later, to help a homeowner, with her computer troubles.... Soon. ... So I don't imagine we'll be home in time for "games night" tonight, nor will we get back to the City in time to listen to our friend S sing, in a big choir... either. ... We have a long night ahead of us.
I wonder what's in store for us, tomorrow....

So, today’s Update:

It’s now Thursday, December 23rd!!!! ... It’s 3:16 already!
We didn’t end up having to go to NB after all. But we still didn’t get back in time for S’s singing, nor for games night. ... We DID stop in to visit E on our way home though. =) She’s always so happy to see us. It makes me feel good. =) ... It was around 1am or so, when we got to bed. ...
Yesterday, I got some housework done, and my friend Lady Misty, came to visit me for a little while, and we exchanged gifts (but we said we wouldn’t open them ‘til Christmas). =) .. Then, later in the evening, we had a gaming night...which was fun. But towards the time they were getting ready to leave... I got really sick all of a sudden... And it lasted throughout most of the night, and so I didn’t get a lot of sleep... I thought I was feeling better, but today too, all of a sudden I didn’t feel well at all... And I’m still not feeling sick. ... I don’t know if it’s something I ate, or what. Rupindre and D, stayed up ‘til nearly 6 am, (I think).... Chatting away. ... So, it was a late start to today. ....

Tonight we were going to have company, but they’ve asked for a rain-check.

I hope I’ll feel better by tomorrow! ... Christmas Eve with my family. I am looking forward to it. =)
Christmas Day, not sure what we’re doing, yet.

SO! Merry Christmas! and Happy New Year! =)

The weekend! =)

It’s Monday, December 13th, 2004.

Well, on Thursday (I think)... I got a surprise visit from my Nephew, and his girlfriend. =) It was great to see them, I hope they’ll do that again, sometime. =) I had been rather sick, the day before, and busy before that, so the house was a mess. But oh well. ... They were doing some Christmas shopping, so they didn’t stay long.
The play went well, that evening. ...

Saturday we did a pile of Christmas shopping and running of errands, took all day... And I’m so excited! =) ... We went to a “new to us”, used book store, and would you believe I FOUND IT!!!!!!!!!??? =) I finally found Dr. Phil’s “Weight loss solution” book (hard cover version, of course) for I think it was $10.50!!! (usual price 41. Or more).... So! YIPEEE! =) Rupindre bought it for me, for Christmas, so, now I have no more excuses! (well, as soon as I start reading it!... I can hardly wait!) ... =) And I also found what I was looking for for my friend’s gift.. And I found SOME of what I was looking for my grand nephew... Still one thing I’d like to find... But oh well.... I still have their birthdays to get something for... But I have their Christmas stuff. Will wrap that today. =) ... That evening, the play went well, though we (carolers) almost missed our last cue. .... I stayed up until 4 am, working on the drawing for the card, for the cast party... Got up again, around 9am Sunday, to finish it, but we ran out of time, so we got ready, went and did the matinée play – which went all right... But us carolers, had a new caroler with us, and for some reason, we had to do it much faster than we have every other time... So it was a little adventure, and harder to do that way.... But anyway... It worked out.... At intermission. (after the play that we’re in)...Rupindre and I zipped home again, to finish the cards and pick up the vegetable and fruit platters we’d bought.... And then, went to the cast party, which was fun... Great food, (they even made a separate pot of chili for us – because we’re vegetarian!).... A carol sing around the piano, house tour, the cards were appreciated and we all signed them for each of us – though I didn’t have one circulating =( oh well, Rupindre did)... =) ... And one of the cast, who had been Santa, gave us each a little “goody bag” with a toy (stuff like a rubber stamp, stickers, a little puzzle game, etc...) a cute stuffed toy (mine is a snowman, and Franklin’s is a bear)... And some chocolates and candy canes. ... =) Anyway, it was sweet. =) ... That was over around 7:30 or so... So we stopped in to the video store, and rented “Magnolia”. (it had been recommended)... Neither of us knew anything about it... It’s a two cassette, movie..... And .... Well.... It’s very hard to follow, makes very little sense, is boring in parts, and is .... Very weird.... Yet... It held my attention the whole time... Makes you think... And it’s kind of disturbing in many ways.... And it’s strange, but I could “identify” with many of the characters, in some ways.... I couldn’t figure out what the title had to do with the movie, but apparently, it takes place on “Magnolia Avenue” or something like that, and in each building there’s a picture of magnolia flowers.. So Rupindre informed me afterwards. The guy at the rental place got really excited and told us it was his favorite... He loves it. He warned us that we’d either love it, or hate it... That most people don’t even watch it all the way through. ...... He said if we had questions about it, to ask him.... I just might ask him about the frogs. All those poor frogs!... =( Disturbing part of the movie). .... My sister should never ever, watch that movie.

And today, of course, is try to get caught up on stuff day. ....

During errand day, on Saturday... Rupindre also got me a few other Christmas gifts, such as permanent markers (for crafting purposes), card stock, X-mas music CD’s. =) ... And I’m sure there was more... =) ....

...I wonder what I’m forgetting to say. .... hmmmm... like the fact that there was a little gathering at the pub on Saturday night, after the play. ... As has become the tradition.

two updates.

Well, I had typed this update ... but couldn't post it, some trouble with the blogger system... so here it is, today, and another one tacked on to the end....

Hi Everyone, It’s Monday, December 6th, 2004

Well, On Monday afternoon, my sister came to visit, we worked on preparations for the Craft Gang’s X-mas party... And also went X-mas shopping... ... On Wednesday, I went to my dentist’s appointment... It was quite an experience... They put the "mouth Prop" and the "Rubber down" in ... and then they started working away... when he did the drilling... I could feel the "Twingy" feeling that I just can’t tolerate very long, the one that feels like it goes from my tooth to my toes, and stays in my stomach for a while before getting there... That feeling I was afraid of getting, because it was like that when I was little, every time I was getting fillings done (all the ones he's slowly replacing)... Anyway... he stopped, said "That's hurting!, Lets put more freezing in".. so they did, and waited a few minutes, and tried again, this time I couldn't feel anything. From there, we left for my old Hometown.... The Tooth felt really strange for a long while, L (my sister) stopped at the "Apple Pit" (which is now a "Tim Horton's" (it's a shame, really)... Anyway, and I got a juice and a muffin... couldn't eat the muffin at that point. And the tooth is cold sensitve, and once in a while, if I chew with it, it hurts. I hope that’s a temporary situation. Anyway.... IT was a difficult drive, because of the heavy rain very high wind, and "lakes" in the road... But we got to the grocery store, and then to her house, safely.

On Thursday Morning, I went to Mame’s, and she helped me make the packaging for the cookies I needed for the Craft Gang’s party... (She had also made the dough and ended up baking them for me... She did most of it, actually!).... Anyway, they came out looking like snowflakes in the end, and when the cookie is gone, they can use it as a frame and tree ornament. ...... In the afternoon, I worked on a little “extra gift” (can’t say what yet...)... And that evening was the party... Which was fun... We played some neat and fun, hilarius games, got a few prize gifts, and opened our “Time Box” (that we’d put away 5 years ago)... We’re planning on putting new stuff in, in the New Year... And sealing it for another 5 years. I don’t know what I’m going to do for that, yet. .... We ran out of time, so we’ll see the rest of stuff that was already in it, in the new Year. ...... Friday, Mame and L drove me home.... And stayed over night.... So, they came with us, to see the play... =) They enjoyed it. And we stayed for the 2nd play, and enjoyed it (it was the best performance yet, for both plays, in my opinion). One of the actors was sick, so A lady replaced him.... It was funny, she did a great job! =) ... ... Saturday, we watched part of a video montage of the Craft Gang’s party’s and stuff.... That L made for us. =) It’s great. ... This is the next 5 years... And she had made one for the 10 years previous. =) .... It’s really special. =) .... And when Mame and L went home, Rupindre and I both had a long nap, ‘til it was time to get ready for the Play... The play went well... But a bunch of the people in charge of things, were quite upset, because a big group of about 35 people from the School board, were very late. .... And started arriving when the show was already going... So us carolers ended up bringing them into their seats... I thought it worked out pretty well, and that it was neat, actually... But some of the people were really upset... OH well. ....
Glad that night’s over with.

Yesterday. (Sunday)..... Around 10:30 we went the theater, in order to do carpooling..... And went with a couple of ladies, to A R.. (it’s... About an hour, or so away, not sure)... Kinda long drive.... We went to a restaurant, we were about.... 20 people all together.
And we went to the book store, and then to the theater there, to watch our new Friend K, in a play called “Death in England”. .... And then a long drive back... It was around 6, I think, when we got home, Just in time to see my Friend Lady Misty’s brother on the news.... His dog woke him up, because of a fire in the house next door! ... Everyone is ok. .... .... (I wouldn’t have known about that, if she hadn’t left me a message)... After supper, we went to the Hospital for “the Festival of Light” (A fundraiser for medical equipment)... They do this every year, and we never go... But this year, we knew the “musical entertainment”... So we went as support for her. =) .... But we left early, because the boring speaches that made me feel like I was in church, were just too much... And Poor Rupindre has a cold and feels miserable... So we came home and watched a movie called “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”. ... Strange, hard to follow, but still, really good movie. Makes you think. I enjoyed it. And it’s nice to see Jim Carey in a serious role. I enjoy his work more that way.

In other news... Rupindre is Studying lines for another play, coming in February/March. .... Called “Angel Street”. (don’t remember if I already told you all, about that...).... They want me to be stage manager... I don’t think I’m ready... We’ll see. .... And they keep asking me when I’m gonna take on a role, in one of the plays. .... I keep saying “not me, never”. .... (but I guess I shouldn’t say “never”). ... Anyway.... This is a big role, with lots of LONG lines, for Rupindre.... He’ll be “Inspector Rough”. =) ...

Next weekend, is the cast party.... (for the Current play).
Next week is the “Secret Santa” at work.... Turns out Rupindre’s not in charge after all. ... But he IS taking part.

In a few minutes, Rupindre and I will go to our Friend D’s House, for “Star Gate: Atlantis” night. .... (we have a few on tape to watch, and then tonight’s episode). =) .... So this is all for this update. I’m sure there’s lots I’m forgetting to say.

I stayed up late working on homemade gifts, and etc..., and got up fairly early, several times.... I’m tired. .... But I’m doing well, just the same.

And the next update....
Hi Everyone,
It’s Thursday! (ALREADY!) .... December 9th, 2004. ...

We had a good time watching 2 taped episodes and the week’s episode on TV, of “Star Gate: Atlantis” at our friend D’s house, on Monday evening. =)

Rupindre’s Mom had some appointments to keep nearby, and there was some bad weather forecast... So she came here on Tuesday evening... So did a few of the guys, Rupindre played games with the guys, and I watched a couple of movies with E, .... “Bug Off” and “Horse Crazy”. Both were silly and fun. I enjoyed them.... Interesting that both had a young boy named Tyler in it, too. =) I didn’t get much sleep that night, because I was sick..... And yesterday, I slept most of the day, and in between sleeping spells, I watched TV. I didn’t accomplish anything at all yesterday. But you know... It’s nice, once in a while, to do nothing all day. I could barely eat at all yesterday. When Rupinder got home from work he made me some soup. =) ... Today, I can eat, at least. =) And last night, Gaming night was canceled. =) So Rupindre worked on the Christmas cards. (Printing them out)... I have to cut and address them, still. We ran out of card stock... I’m not sure how many are done. I hope, enough. =)

Tonight, Rupindre is signed up for a voice lesson! ... And there may be a “gaming night” too (at a friend’s house). Not sure. I’ll likely stay home. Since I still don’t feel too great. And there may be a few errands to run today..... Not sure. ...

And a few additions, that I'd forgotten to say in those two updates...

It was good that E, came here when she did, because we DID get freezing rain all night, and by morning (when she had to leave) everything was a sheet of ice! ...)... Oh, and before she came, we had an unexpected trip to the L.OFFices. (but only for about 3 hours or so)....

And today! I got a surprise visit from My Nephew D. and his girlfriend, K. =) It was great to see them! =)

Monday, November 29, 2004

Oh yeah, and...

I forgot to mention, that On Friday, Our Friend Libby was there to see the play, and afterwards we went to Rosie’s (a restaurant) ... For a bit of a chat with her and her friend A. It was great to see her again. =)

And also, I forgot to mention that Saturday, was a fellow actor’s birthday... (I think he turned 18, not sure)... And so we had cake and pop for him at intermission, and after the show, we all went to Rosie’s.. And we gave him a card (I made it, based on a design that Rupindre thought up, it wasn’t the original design which would have been much better, because I couldn’t remember what he looked like good enough, but anyway... I stressed for a few hours before the play, on that, and wasn’t too pleased with the end result, but everyone signed it and seemed happy and the birthday guy himself seemed to like it too). ...

Anyway...

busy, busy, busy....

I should have typed this up days ago. (as usual).. But anyway...

Days and weeks seem to be blending in together and making me a bit... Crazy.

Last week, ... Monday evening we went to our friend D’s to watch taped “Star Gate: Atlantis” Episodes, on his new Big Screen TV..... And it was fun... We stayed ‘til quite late. ... Tuesday and Wednesday were gaming nights, up late and up early... Thursday morning we went to the L Offices and didn’t get home ‘til Friday afternoon (not much sleep, but a few naps in chairs at the offices I got way more sleep than he did)... And Friday afternoon, Rupindre had to go to work here... (Apparently the power had gone out again, for about 3 hours, on Thursday... So he had to go deal with the results of that)... Then, there was the play. As soon as we got there, I was informed that I was in charge of the Carolers because, the director who is usually the lead caroler, wasn’t there... So... Of course, I panicked. ... But I did coat check, and when the time came... I just did my best, which (according to what everyone said)... went just fine. ... Even though there were lots of little glitches (from everyone it seemed) that night. It was a full house too. The “Red Hatters” (a group of women... ) were there in large numbers. IT was really neat to see an ocean of red and purple. =) they all seemed happy and to have enjoyed the show... Anyway.. Saturday, I was lead caroler again, and did coat check, again.. It was A very good night, I’d say... And the audience was pretty full. =) Where the carolers walk was narrower, because of the extra row of seats.. But we managed. .. ... I had wanted to go Christmas shopping and get a pile of stuff done, on Saturday .... But it didn’t happen... And Yesterday... Well... Nothing was open. But I got a few little things done just the same. ... And .... Today, My sister is coming to visit, for a few days, and I’ll be going to Clare for the Craft Gang’s X-mas party.. And there’s a dentist appointment... We have a busy week ahead.

Monday, November 22, 2004

Good Days. =)

Well, Yesterday started a bit lazy (which was nice!)... Then, we went to an “Open House” party at our new friend’s place... The house was packed full of total strangers. ... We got a bit of a tour of the house, and I am so envious of the clutter free rooms! ... (I’m in the process of de-cluttering my home, but it feels so SLOW, very little progress)... Anyway... There were only like 5 or 6 people that we Knew there... And most of them were busy, (because they were the hosts). ... After that, we rented a couple of movies “Moulin Rouge” and “Little Voice”... We were in the middle of “Little Voice”... When our friend F called. Once the movie was over, he came here and they discussed a game for a while, then we played “Split” one of my new favorite games. (A card game). =) ... And then F left and we went to our Friend A’s place to watch “Gas Light”. Which is what a play called “Angel Street” is based on... And that play is coming to Center Stage, I'm not sure when... And Rupindre’s been offered a part (of an inspector).... In that play... He hasn’t yet decided if he’s doing it or not... Looking at the script... There are quite a few LONG lines for him to deliver... Though, he has lots of time to prepare, and he gets really excited and really into character, just reading it. ... And they asked me if I want to be stage manager for that play! I doubt I’ll accept that position. I think it’s too huge a responsibility and that I’d be way too stressed out! ... But we’ll see what happens. It is a good point that whenever Rupindre’s in a play, I’m usually there for pretty much all the shows and rehearsals anyway... And that director will be the same that did “You Say Tomatoes”. ... So at least he knows what to expect from the director. Oh, we didn’t get a chance to watch “Moulin Rouge”, since our plans and evening filled up in a hurry. It was around 3am when we got to bed. So, we’ll rent it again, some day. I enjoyed “Little Voice”... It was strange, and kinda creepy in parts, but... It was good, in my opinion.

I feel good about my day today. Got some housework and a bit of de-cluttering done. ... Tonight, I’m looking forward to an evening of “Star Gate: Atlantis” at our friend’s place.

Adventure!

Hi Everyone,
I should have typed this up days ago... But we’ve been busy! ...

Friday Night’s play went ok... Us carolers missed our last cue, but the play continued just fine. We had a good chat with the director. I wasn’t feeling too well, so I was happy to get home....

On Saturday morning we woke up to the skylight being covered in snow! =) It was so beautiful! And it was still coming down! ... We sat in the hot tub and enjoyed the amazing experience of the snow falling on us yet being warm... =) ...... I still wasn’t feeling too great that day... But we managed to get some shoveling done..... And I think it was that day, I had fun making snow sculptures of an alien ship (that crashed), and a few aliens. ... =) We had LOTS of snow... It came down and accumulated fast, for a couple of days. Saturday’s play was canceled because of the weather and too many people were canceling their reservations for the show... ... I think it was that evening, that the power went out around 8pm or so (Just when the play would have been underway), it came back on for about 3 hours.... Around 1:30 am.... And when we woke up the next morning, it was out again... We spent the day and evening bundled up in blankets, playing games and Rupindre read some of a story to me...by candlelight... And eating whatever we could find...... Rupindre even managed to heat up some leftovers, with a candle! It took a long time, but worked nicely! ... It was actually kinda romantic, and nice to have a break from the constant busy state we seem to be in lately... I almost didn’t want the power to come back on. ... We didn’t have water (to wash up or flush, or whatever) So Rupindre got clever and caught the drip from the gutters (that need fixing).... In a bucket, and we used that to flush with... And thank goodness, we had some jugs of drinking water on hand. ... =) .... We were doing quite well, actually. ... But on Monday, when the power still wasn’t back, and the battery powered personal radio (that I had recently gotten at Dollarama, for a prize gift, for a Craft Gang Game, at the X-mas party – and which we stole the TV’s remote control batteries, to operate it with).... Updates, said that it could be the end of the week before power was restored.... We packed up, even took Mrs. Bear with us! - she wasn’t happy! And went to E’s... (she had power)... It was a really strange feeling... And hard to describe... But there were long line ups at each gas station that had a generator to pump it with... And everywhere else it seemed strangely abandoned..... The radio kept giving updates on the latest “warming centers” that were being set up and a list of all the cancelations and etc... Anyway... Soon after we got to E’s, Rupindre went to work at the L offices, .... It was a good visit.... Mrs. Bear stayed hidden the whole time...I watched an episode of MacGyver, and Dr. Phil and we had a good chat, and a yummy sandwich... And did the dishes, and etc... And then we started watching “Two of a Kind” a good movie... And around 6pm, we heard from friends and family, that our power came back around 5pm... So when Rupindre got back from work, (around 9pm I think)... We packed up again, and came home... Mrs. Bear was sure happy to be home... Then Rupindre went to work for a while....
Then, this week, we’ve had a lot of afternoon L business trips, and we’ve had friends (and met a new person, and two friends who hadn’t come for over a year, came too – we were 8!) came and we played games, and sat in the hot tub, ‘til late-early... (our gaming nights were Tuesday and Wednesday)... Yesterday, we went to L Offices (left around 3pm), and didn’t get home ‘til around 6am this morning, I came home had a nap for about 2 hours, Rupindre went in to work here, (it’s 1:30pm, and he’s still there, and says he may need to go to L again this afternoon)... And tonight is the play... (and I don’t feel well today)... During our L days, we ate at “Buffet King” (a Chinese buffet restaurant) - there was so much yummy stuff (but my vegetable fried rice was burnt and tasted yucky, so I ended up not eating it), and the “Watermelon sherbet” I had to drink, was DELICIOUS!!!!! I ate enough for two meals in one sitting! (when we arrived I was very hungry, when we left, I wasn’t hungry for many hours, yet I ate snacks with the gaming group, just the same!).... And yesterday, we went to Montana’s.. At first we thought “oh oh!” Because we thought there was nothing on the menu for vegetarians, but we found some ”Antijinos” (not sure how to spell it) (cream cheese, and veggies wrap things) and some Vegie fahitas (don’t know how to spell that either)... There was LOTS... And I got full in a hurry! (not like me at all). .... It was good. We took some home with us. ....
Of course, tomorrow is the play, too, and possibly a L work day too. ... And on Sunday there’s a party from 1-7pm, that we’re invited to, I’m not sure when we’ll go, or how long we’ll stay, but we did say we’d go... Meanwhile, there’s a neat, play/book launch thing going on in Clare... That my friend Lady Misty’s Mom is putting together... I hate this wanting to be in 2 or more places at once feeling that I get a lot lately.

Mean while, I’ve managed to finish drawing and coloring my X-mas Card design, for this year. And ... I’ve finsihed reading another one of my sister’s book’s. I can’t remember what it’s called, or the author’s name, but it’s about healing the child within. (Children of Trauma... ________ Middleton-Moz)... It was a very interesting book.

And of course, I’ve tried to keep up (quite unsuccessfully) with housework, and e-mails and etc....

Oh, and I can’t remember which day, but I had a good visit/chat with my friend Lady Misty... She treated me to some fries and a grilled cheese, at a restaurant... I guess she didn’t have a good couple of days, in the power outage... But she managed to get through ok.

Well, gotta go tend to the laundry. ....

Woo HOOO!!!!! =)

This morning, we woke up to snow!!!!!!!!!!! It’s snowing! (And accumulating!) =) ....
It’s the first snowfall that I’ve witnessed this season. =) ... (Apparently I missed some beautiful huge snowflakes, a few days ago). ... It’s so beautiful!

Last night’s play went well, audience was only half full. ... WE had a good chat with the director, then came home.
I still don’t feel too great today, but doing much better.

quick note.

Hi Everyone,
I’m not feeling well today. (but nothing to worry about, too much junk food again). ... I have lots to do... And tonight’s the play. ... So this is going to be a long difficult day. But so far, so good. I’m managing ok.

Yesterday, I got to work on my X-mas cards, and Rupindre worked on my address book, and also brought me food and stuff at meal times... He’s such a wonderful man. I am so lucky. =) ... Those “little big things” he does for me... Mean so much to me.

Anyway, if you don’t hear from me much for a few days... Don’t worry.

What a day!

Hi Everyone, It’s Thursday, November 11th, Rememberence Day, 2004, and also my aunt’s birthday. =)

Yesterday, Rupindre and I got up around 5 am, went into work for a bit, then drove to Mt. Uniacke, to a guy’s house... He’s a salesman with the company, and is based out of his home... Rupindre had to do some stuff with his computer... We were there for a few hours... And the guy is a chain smoker. ... I was very tired, very hungry (to the point of having embarrassing, grumbly noises from my stomach) and the cigarette smoke got to me really fast. ... I could tell he was a smoker as soon as we stepped into the house, (even before he lit up his first cigarette)... Because I could smell it in the house. ... Anyway... Then, we went to the City, ate a sub, ran a few errands, and went to the L. offices, where I stayed in the car and had a nap, while Rupindre went in to work... Then, we went back to that smoker’s house for a few minutes... And then we wen N M, and brought my costume shoes in, to be repaired. (the heels are ruined on them).... It’s going to take longer, but cost MUCH LESS than I expected... And he’s going to fix more than just the heel! =) ... They’re supposed to be ready in time for tomorrow’s play. I hope so, if not, dunno what I’ll wear! ... Then, I reluctantly went to my dentist appointment. ... I have another appointment on Dec. 1rst to have an old filling replaced. Otherwise they said I have good and healthy teeth and gums. =) Then, I came home, Rupindre went to work at Sarsfield’s and ... After eating some leftovers, I did a little bit of housework, and then the guys started calling... And we then proceeded to have our usual gaming night, which was fun. =) .... Rupindre and D chatted until around 3 am... I was snoozing (drifting in and out of consciousness) on the couch...

Today, Rupindre has the day off from work. =) Yay! =) ...

In other news... My brother is in the hospital but doing well.

And my nephew who had moved to Ontario, is back. =)

Lots of plans are being made for lots of fun and good things.... In the next couple of months. ...

Oh, we finally found some hairball treats for Mrs. Bear. They’re not the same as she used to get, but hopefully they’ll work just as well. =) She likes them. that's a good start. =)

It’s been quite cold lately. There’s frost most mornings and evenings now.

The Wirlwind Continues...

I get so frustrated because I get caught up on one thing, But then fall behind on everything else... Anyway... I’m feeling Overwhelmed and that Christmas Anxiety has a hold of me again... But... I’m doing all right, just the same. ... Anyway... I’m sure you’re all sick of hearing me complain about this all the time...

So here’s what the wind has brought into our lives lately...

From October 23rd until the 28th, I was visiting my family, and having some Hallowe’en fun. ... On the 23rd, My family (My sister M, Aunt C, and Mame), came to get me....It was a good day =) We went shopping around here... I saw a friend of mine that I hadn’t seen in a long while... She said they’re trying to move back near here. =) I hope they’ll be able to. =) Her Son is barely recognizable he grew so much! After shopping, we headed "Home", We met my sister L, on her way to do a Karaoke... So we put my stuff in her van and the rest of them went home... Once L and I got to the club, I helped her to set up and it went pretty well... It was a guy’s birthday celebration... (so a private party)... The cigarette smoke was pretty bad. And it affected us for several days. ... But anyway... Once it was over, I helped her put stuff back in the van, and we went to her house, ... I think it was around 2 am when we got there, and went to bed. They didn’t have any hot water.. the plumber had been there, to fix it, but it didn't work, and so they were playing the waiting game ... So, the next morning, we were very smelly with smoke and felt yucky, so out of desperation, we went to Mame's and each had a bath there. I think it was the next day, that the plumber came and fixed it for real. =)

Mame and M, were busy with the funeral services, for my cousin R, (I barely knew him) And work and other things, so I didn’t see them much.

L, her husband, and I went for their usual Sunday Drive... which included doing a little bit of shopping here and there... and a scary moment on the wharf.. (they were rebuilding a section, and I’m nervous on a wharf anyway...) but it was a good little outing.

The Stitch (Craft Gang)’s Hallowe'en Party was supposed to be on Tuesday (the 26th) , but it was postponed 'til the next day. It worked out well, though.. Because it gave us extra time to shop for a costume... (I didn’t have anything for it!)... ... After spending quite a bit of time and money, I ended up with a pretty good costume. .... and some of the pieces are reusable for another year, so that’s good. =) The theme, this year was “Oriental”.. . D and I were tied for “best costume” =) And Mame was runner up. =) I didn’t get the video camera’s battery’s charged up in time... So I used the power outlet... Which restricted me a lot... It was annoying, but serves me right, I should have had that ready, days before! Anyway... We got some of the Craft Gang’s party on tape... There were a few of us missing at this party... It seemed strange. .. D, had made up a “Wheel of Fortune” .... And it was obvious that a lot of work went into it. Depending on what the wheel landed on, after spinning it, we had to either sing, answer a trivia question (about the Stitch), or close our eyes, dip our hand in water, find the object and guess what it was. And then we did a “Penny sale”, and the lunch was amazing! ... And I, like the gluten that I am, ate one of each! there were cute cat shaped sandwiches, adorable spider cup cakes (made with licorice and gum drops and etc..)... Caramel Apples! Layered jello with a good type of whip cream (I usually don’t like that stuff), and little butter tarts, and gum drops, and I’m sure there was more! ... =) .. Anyway... It was the first time we went to her place... And it is a small, but cute house, (I love it, myself), and I love the area it’s in too. In the woods... She had done a great job of decorating too. =) For example, she had paper bags cut with Hallowe’en silhouettes, and candles in the centers.... (I thought it was a bit dangerous, but nothing bad happened). ... (It was inspired by a Martha Stuart magazine). ...
Also, we got to meet D’s new kitten... named Mirabelle. =) She’s very soft, but it’s hard to learn that because she’s very active and adorable, of course. =)

The next day, L and I did a lot of Karaoke Singing (just at her home)... It was fun. That evening, after work, Rupindre came and got me, I drove us home, as he slept. ... While I was away, he was at work, going to rehearsals, and having gaming nights (as usual) with the guys... And he received an invitation to a Hallowe’en party up here... (for both of us).. So I got back in time... So on that weekend... We went to some rehearsals, and went to a one night special show that they held at Center Stage Theater “Nostalgia Night” (Cabaret songs, and stories, and sweets at intermission).. It was quite an evening. =) After that we went to the pub, with a bunch of the Cabaret people... (I wish people would want to gather at a different place than a pub, but anyway)... ... And we also went to that party, hosted by one of the actresses in the current play that Rupindre is in (and I, sort of am too). =) .... and she’s the sister of Rupindre’s Leading lady. =) ... Anyway... The party for me, was lots of fun.... At the last minute, I decided to dress up as “Gretta Oglebean” the 500 year old witch .... I had lots of fun being “in character” and telling everyone all about my spider friends, Charlotte, Nick, Maurice, and the others, and all about my new “State of the art” broom. (complete with pint stripe, and hood ornament, and etc...)... And also I told everyone that I lost my bottom teeth and that I wondered if I could have theirs... I regretted asking one fella, because he said he had a set of top ones... But luckily I could just say “oh, no, I need the bottom ones”.. Anyway... There were games that I’m not good at (Like guess who you are, and charades), but it was fun just the same. .... I had dressed as a very similar French witch, for the Stitch before.... But I don’t remember her name... Anyway... I thought that was easier than the mask I had as “Chin Ya” (my Oriental costume).... ... For eating all the yummy treats and etc... (The thing’s I’ll put myself through, because I won’t wear make up!) My only regret is that we didn’t bring our Video Camera. ... Rupindre was dressed in his versatile Ren fair “pirate” costume. (Pirate, or peasant)... Unfortunately though, he wasn’t feeling too well, so he didn’t have as much fun as I did. But we met a few people who are quite likeable and kind. =) Oh, and when we first arrived at the party, I saw an awesome Hallowe’en decoration – a very tall statue that was quite life like and scary. .... (all in black... Hooded... After the second look, I realized it was actually a man dressed as “Death” and the 3rd look I realized it was our new friend (actor), Ken. It was a spooky costume. And a fun evening. =)

On Monday, ... Rupindre went to work, as normal... But, he got home early... (I thought it was just for lunch, and to run a quick errand).. Turns out he had a vacation day, and wasn’t supposed to go in to work at all, but something came up and he had to take care of it. So, we had lunch, and then went out and test drove an “echo hatchback” car... I like it except for one thing, which for me, is important... Visibility... I’m uncomfortable with the huge blind spot I have, on the side/up front, hard to explain, but anyway... We, ran a few errands, and ... Tuesday, was supposed to be a vacation day, but he ended up having to work in Lakeside all afternoon... But I went with him and helped a little here and there, and we ate at Quizno’s for supper. I tried their cheesy broccoli soup, in an edible bowl and it was good. =9 We stopped in to visit E and Oscar Fudge, on our way home. ... I think it was that night, that we both ended up napping on her couch! Not very good visitors! heh.

Wednesday I finally figured out that Rupindre had a week off from work. =) ...(but he kept getting pages, and calls from work, here, just the same). ...That afternoon, we went to the pub with our friend W, and snacked on some nachos... And chatted about all sorts of things... And around 6pm, I drove, and we ran an errand, and we saw our actress friend, V working at the Pretzel Maker, and we each had a Pretzel, mine was a new type “Caramel nut, Dip”.. And oh my goodness it was DELICIOUS!!!!... I almost didn’t get to eat it, because while I drove to pick up A, Rupindre was holding it for me... And snitching a bite here and there. Hee hee. =) ... Anyway, we had a role playing session, planned, but D (the game master)... Couldn’t proceed, because the “main character” in the adventure he had prepared, wasn’t able to come... So ... They played “Show Gun” instead... I am not interested in that game ... So I came upstairs and got a few little things done, and went to bed early. I was tired. Apparently, they had pizza and sat in the hot tub, and did all sorts of things, that I didn’t know about. Heh. Oh well. I wasn’t hungry anyway.

Thursday... Started out lazily... throughout the week, we watched our taped shows. (Oprah, Dr. Phil, Degrassi)... Thursday evening, was a rehearsal, Friday, was the last “Dress Rehearsal” and Rupinder’s Brother R, and E, came to watch ... I had been all nervous and worked up, because of my tiny part as a caroler, but relaxed completely, once I saw that the Director/Stage manager was one of the carolers too... But we ended up missing our cues for when to start singing and walking.. And because I have to hide from the audience, ... I can’t actually watch Rupindre’s parts, but I CAN hear him.. And from what I heard, it went quite well. Saturday night was “preview night”.. And I did “front of house” which meant, giving out programs, as people came in... And I met “Brenda” a handicapped women, who was there to help me with the programs, ... And I helped a little bit with the coffee, hot apple cider and etc.. That they have at Intermission, and helped a little bit, to clean that up too. ... We were right on cue, this time, with our singing, and from what I could hear, Everyone did well on stage... Rupindre says he’s not happy with his performance, but I think, he never will be, he’s way too critical of himself. I am proud of him, and think he is great. =) ... The audience was full, and seemed to enjoy the show, they even laughed and everything. =) ... One of our friends from the Dale Carnegie Class, was there. =)

Oh my, there’s so much I could rattle on about..... But anyway...

After the first play, and finishing up with the “Front of House” stuff, I went backstage, (changed out of my costume)... and sat with Rupindre, as he designed an X-mas Card... As we waited for the 2nd play to finish... Then a bunch of us met at a pub, and had a good time, chatting about lots of things, and one of our new friends, T (who is the “hair person”, at the Theater – and who does a good job on my hair!) ... Shared her plate of fries with me. =) (You see, it’s 2, one act plays, the first one, “The Gift of the Magi” - Rupindre’s, is only 20 minutes long, and he’s only on stage about 8 minutes or so, of it, the second play, “A visit from St. Nicholas”, is about 45 minutes long). And Santa comes out briefly, before the plays begin. =) .....
So anyway... “Opening Night” went very well, I’d say.

We’ve had a lot of VERY high winds, rain (at times heavy)... And it’s been kinda chilly. The other night, we even had a power outage, for about 2 hours. And I think it was last night, there were lightning flashes but no rumble of thunder.

Yesterday, (Sunday)... I started doing something I’ve been putting off way too long, and was “overwhelmed by” and etc... And that is to organize and update my address book, on e-mail/Snail mail... It’s a huge job, which includes deleting duplicate ‘contacts”. And entering the data, and .... Etc... I started with 587 ( or something like that).... And now I have about 100 fewer.. Anyway, I don’t feel that I’ve made much progress... But, it’s better than not doing it at all.
Last night, we watched an old taped movie called “Bullworth” (I think) (about a presdiential candidate who goes pretty crazy.. And stuff. I didn’t like the ending at all, and a few parts I felt were “over done”, and some questions were left unanswered... It was an ok, movie, though.

Let’s see, other things... Rupindre’s gone to the dentist twice.. Once for a check up/cleaning and a second time to replace an old filling. ... I have an appointment on Wednesday, (For a cleaning) and I’m thinking about canceling it. .. Don’t know what to do.

Today, is a typical Monday, catching up on updates, e-mails, housework, and also doing some work on my address book...

So, I’d better get back to it...
Hope you’re all having a great day.

My New Blog!

Hi Everyone, Please visit my new blog and recommend it to many people! =)

http://athalaholdidays.blogspot.com/

Oops, I forgot... heh.. =)

Hi again, Everyone...
It seems that I’m having some internet difficulties. At first I thought it was a problem with Blogger, but, my e-mail is affected too... I just deleted two duplicates of the "Whirlwind" post... ... ANyway...

Here are the things I forgot to mention in the Whirlwind post, I sent a few minutes ago.

So, I forgot to say that On November 6th, the AKA (Alliance of Kings Artist) is having a “Show and sale”. .... At the mall. My table would be free, because I’m a member... But, Since there’s too much going on that day (with Opening night of Rupindre’s play) and also since I have nothing ready... And don’t really think I could get ready in time (at least not without a whole lot of stress and etc...), I ‘ve decided that I won’t participate.

I had also forgotten to say that Monday, Rupindre was working at the L. offices in the City... So, I sat in the car, and finished reading “John Bradshaw On: Healing the shame that binds you” and started reading “Healing the Child within”, by Charles. L Whitfield, M.D. ... Which is quite interesting and for me, a fast read. =) .... (I’m ready to start reading chapter 9 (Of 15) already!) =) ...
I also had a couple of nice naps.... At one point... It started to rain... And it turned into a freak storm, for a few minutes it was raining hard causing big puddles, I was beginning to think I’d be flooded out.... And it was also freezing rain... And I looked over to one side, and saw that the sun was still shinning over there... It was just really neat sounding and looking, and I don’t really have all the words to describe it accurately... But almost as fast as it started, it stopped, and the sun came back out, and besides being wet (but not as deep water puddles), it was as if it never happened. =) ... It was a fun thing to experience while in the car. =)
On our way home we stopped in to visit E and Oscar Fudge, and she gave us some yummy grilled cheese sandwiches and muffins for supper. =9

Also, my Friend Lady Misty’s brother, D, was on TV, the other night. But it was on a channel I don’t get. (A French one). ....I’m terrible! But I can’t remember what exactly it was all about.

Oh yes, and this one, I probably forgot because I’m still kinda in denial, in a way... But I forgot to mention that Patch.... Needs to be replaced. Sigh... So, we’re on the lookout for a used car, again..

Oh Yes! =) And my sister found me an exercise bike for about 20 $!!!!! .... (at a “used clothing store” (It’s used clothing mostly, but also, other things, obviously). ... =) They’re gonna deliver it to me, when they come get me, on Saturday. =)

Ok, this time, I think I remembered everything. =)

Whirlwind....

Hi Everyone,
It feels like time’s been going by in a real whirlwind lately... And each day feels like the same day, yet different, somehow.

Thursday night, was a long difficult night, I didn’t feel well, at all... All of Friday was the same... I didn’t accomplish much of anything at all that day... When Rupindre got home from work, he was such a sweet heart, he made some soup for me, and some toast. .. I think it helped me start to get better... And Saturday, I did feel better, but still not great... We had a lazy day, it was nice, and I think we both needed it. We did go over Rupindre’s lines a few times... ... We rented and watched a few movies... “Alex & Emma” was good. “Looney Toons: Back in Action” was funnier than I expected... I enjoyed it. =) But by far the best of the 3, was “Good Boy”... I enjoyed the special features too... I wouldn’t mind owning that DVD, actually. =) ....
On Sunday, We went over Rupindre’s lines a few times, and then we went to a “Matinée” of the play “Three to Get Married”.... Oh, it was a good one! I enjoyed it!!! =) .... It was funny, I felt it was a good cast for those roles too. =) .... We came home had some supper, went over his lines again... And then, we went back to the Theater for his rehearsal... Well.... .... I don’t know just how they did it.. But they managed to get me to do a small part in the play... (well sort of)... I guess if it were a movie I’d be “an extra”..... ... All I have to do, is walk in front of the stage, and sing Christmas carols, a few times. ... (and there’ll be lots of other people doing the same thing).... But I am still a nervous wreck! .. For one thing, I am NOT familiar with one of the carols... And actually, I’m not even sure if that’s the one we’ll be singing... It’s “Good King Wenceslas” (or something like that).... I mean, I really don’t have to worry... If worse comes to worse I can just “la la la” or hum, or lip sink or something like that..... But I guess, because it’s almost here (Opening night is Nov. 6th!!!), and I’ll be gone for the next rehearsal, and they’re not really able to answer my questions... And I’m not sure if they’ll be happy with my costume.. And etc...... I guess, I’m “worked up” about it... But.... At the same time, it’s exciting and fun. Silly me. Heh. ....
Yesterday, (Monday) was filled, mostly with doing housework, and internet searches..... (for Craft ideas). ... I didn’t feel too great yesterday, nor today. (but at least, I can “Function”, not like Thursday night and Friday). Anyway, Last night, we went to the cinema with D, and saw “Team America, World Police”.... Ok, I didn’t realize that it was made by the same people who make “South Park”. ... (I’m sure it came up before, but I didn’t remember that).... It was NOT what I was expecting at all. (I saw the Marionettes, and thought “oh neat!” so I wanted to see it.... )... Anyway... Rupindre and D enjoyed it... I didn’t really care for it much, but a few things did make me smile. It’s a very silly and violent movie. A disturbing look at how the world thinks and what is found funny, and etc...

On Saturday, my family will come get me, and I’ll be visiting with them for a few days. Tuesday night is the Craft Gang’s Hallowe’en party. I’m supposed to find an “Oriental” themed, costume. I haven’t found anything yet. Rupindre has had some great ideas... But I don’t know how to make them a practical reality. ... Anyway.... I am looking forward to the visit.

My annual “Christmas Anxiety” has begun. And the play, has me in the Christmas Spirit. ... It’s hard for me to focus on Hallowe’en, right now. ... But I know for sure that when I get with my family... I’ll be having fun with the Hallowe’en stuff. =) ...

Well, I hope all is well with you ....

Good stuff, Update. =)

Hi Everyone,
It’s Noon, already! 2004, is coming to an end really fast! (I say that, because I'm not ready for Hallowe'en NOR for Christmas....and time's been zooming by again)

Last Thursday, I decided not to go to the AKA’s general meeting, and instead I went with Rupindre, E and Oscar Fudge, to The A factory... Rupindre had a pretty good day, things were working pretty well, for the most part, all day. ... (a few glitches, but not as difficult as usual) =).... I worked on untangling my yarn, and I crocheted a square (for a quilt, charity thing)... And I even helped Rupindre a little bit by coiling some wires, keeping him company, and things like that.... E and Oscar Fudge, visited a friend. =) And we actually got away at a half decent hour...So, we ate at Jungle Jim’s.... And came home. =) .... The night before, Rupindre had stayed up late, playing board games with the guys. (I had gone to bed earlier)...... And we ended up napping in E’s driveway. Heh. =) ....

Over the weekend, Rupindre went in to work for a little while, a few times... We had people come and play games with us... (Rupindre got “Risk: Godstorm” two or three weeks ago, and he was excited about playing it.... ).... We sat in the hot tub several times, even in the rain! ( it was FUN and neat!!!!!! and pretty!) .... =)

The leaves are bright and beautiful, and it’s wonderful to watch them fall.

Sunday was mostly a lazy day, Rupindre got lots of much needed rest... And I went with him to his rehearsal around 6:30 pm... And .... They’ve got me all excited! =) .... I can hardly wait to do “Front of house work”.... This time... Because I’ll be dressed in “period costume”.... (just like the women on the stage, with pretty long dresses and stuff)... =) I think it’ll be fun. =) When we got back, I was singing Christmas Carols hee hee, they put me in the Christmas spirit... =) And this morning, I think I may have figured out what I’ll be doing for one of my Christmas things. ;) heh.

Yesterday, was Canadian Thanksgiving... Hope you had great family moments. ... And a good weekend. Rupindre didn’t work yesterday (yay!) .... But otherwise, we didn’t really celebrate... (or do anything specifically Thanksgiving related). We did receive a couple of great cards though, one in paper, and one via e-mail. =)

Last night, our friend A, came to play Risk with us... It was a brief, but good visit.. We hadn't seen him in months... (he was away for the summer, then busy with University stuff, and moving into an apartment and etc...)... He’s changed his look, and I like it. =)

I think that’s about it.

Loooooooooooooooong day.. and other stuff.

Well. ... On Friday evening, (around 9pm) I went in to help Rupindre at work... (data entry and stuff like that)... I think it was around 3:30 am when we got home... We hopped in the Hot Tub, to sooth aching muscles and to warm up... So, we didn’t get to bed ‘til around 4:30 am, I think it was.
On Saturday, we got up around 9:40 am, we went to work around 10:30am... Around 3pm, we went shopping... Got things like a robe, ‘aqua shoes”, and big towels... (“bath sheets” I think they’re called), a new swim set, for me... (instead of a swim suit)... And etc.... That took longer than Rupindre had anticipated... I think it was around 8pm, when we went back to work.... And Rupinder ended up pulling an all nighter.... I was NOT able to do that, and I really don’t know how he does it... And I feel he shouldn’t, it’s just not good! ... Anyway... I ended sleeping on the floor in his office for a few hours ... Then I got up and helped him again... Finally by 3pm on Sunday, he had reached his limit, and we came home... A few times over those days, I came home long enough to make some food, and brought it back there... During one of those times, the Jahovah’s Witness came knocking... I let them in, but told them I was busy, and in a hurry... And I don’t know how the subject came up, exactly, but I ended up telling them that the bible scares me and stuff like that... But I feel as though I didn’t say it the way I wanted to... And stuff... But they said they were glad I told them, and of course, that some day soon, maybe they can come back and I can tell them why and stuff.. They left the booklets for Rupindre... So... When they do come back, I’ll explain the situation better and make sure they know that I have nothing against them personally... And stuff like that..... Anyway, after getting home at 3pm (from the all nighter he pulled) We napped until around 6pm, and then went in for his play’s rehearsal. WOW the set is beautiful, and the play itself is so short, but sweet! =) ..... And the costumes are starting to be assembled, and they all look great. =) (for once, I’m not disappointed in the costumes!) .... That didn’t run too late. ...Rupindre is starting to question why he took this one on. (mostly because he’s so busy with work and stuff). ... But I think he’ll be great in it. Other than the fatigue, I enjoyed the weekend and Rupindre says I was very helpful.

Monday Rupindre was at work by 6am, and didn’t get home ‘til after midnight. (Except to pick up some “take out food” that I made for us... An experimental veggie wrap, it was good! =)
Yesterday (Tuesday, Oct. 5th) Rupindre turned 36. I did a bunch of “little things”.... It didn’t seem like much to me, but... He enjoyed each thing and he was very appreciative... He makes it so fun to do things like that for him!
=) .... I made him a card... I spent several hours on it... And he liked it. ... I put little notes here and there in the house... I went for a walk, and got a 5ft banner balloon that says happy birthday.. (I had never seen one before) His reaction when he saw it, was fun... =) (but not describable). I also got a few little candies that I put in a hand made paper box (that I put a heart into it’s cover) and I put a little tag that said “A special treat, for someone so sweet”, and I bought some lotto tickets and made little cards to put them in... And one of them which I put in his sock drawer said “Lucky Drawers” and he got a chuckle out of that one... =) . ... I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what to say in the card, and didn’t really come up with anything... Except “I love you”. So I did anoter sort of ‘picture” thing...... And I searched the internet for poems or something like that... All I found was a couple for Valentine’s day. ( I wasn't able to come up with my own words) ... I phoned him to say Happy Birthday and to see how his day was going... He said it was ok.... And .... I guess a co-worker made some baked treats for him... And I made a birthday banana-chocolate chunk cake for him, Monday night... (boy that was something! =) I had to chop a bar of special chocolate into little chunks, and it’s a stubborn bar, it doesn’t break easily... And the smell was so good, and when I was finished my hands were covered in melted chocolate it was VERY hard to resist licking them clean.) ... Anyway... I guess I’ve done more than I thought. Heh. He got home around 6pm, last night, and we just relaxed. (he needed the rest).

I had ideas for maybe surprising him with calling people to come play his new board game with him... Or other things like that.... But... I didn't know if he’d be too tired... And need to just relax, or what. ... Plus, there was no way of knowing if he’d be able to get back from work, and it was short notice to call people to show up last night (because I didn’t think of this ‘til yesterday!)... Hmmmm... Maybe I can save some of those ideas and start planning for next year’s birthday... (or even a “Surprise, just because I love you Day, soon”. =)

In other news... I keep forgetting to say, that Mrs. Bear finally let me chop some of the bigger matts off of her, (about two weeks ago, now!)... If he remembers, a friend of ours will bring a cat carrier for us to borrow tonight. (We’re expecting guests for a role playing session, and soak in the hot tub)... SO, hopefully, we’ll get her to a vet, soon.

Also, the pumpkin people are out! =) It looks like the theme is “Sports” this year... I just love those, they’re so fun! =) I look forward to them!... There aren’t as many as there were last year... At least, not yet. ... But they have a way of multiplying throughout the month of October, then they disappear in the beginning of November.... Hee hee. =)

I was thinking about making a pumpkin person, for our jungle yard, and have him hold a huge “Happy Birthday Rupindre” sign.... But, I wasn’t sure how he’d feel about that... And I ran out of time. .... =) ....

Looks like tomorrow is an A offices, day business trip. Not sure yet, If I'm going too or not.

It's OFFICIAL!!!!!!!

Well, this week has been exciting and exhausting.

On Saturday (Sept. 25th), I went to an AKA (Alliance of Kings Artists) lunch and AGM (Annual General Meeting). ... There wasn’t a whole lot on the menu for vegetarians, but I did enjoy the fries and teriaky (Spelling?) vegetables. ... I met a potential new friend, an excentric woman who loves dogs and is an artist and, well, we have a lot in common. =) ...=) Well, Rupindre had dropped me off, so he could run a few errands, and I told him I’d be about 2 hours,... But the meeting didn’t Start ‘til the time I had thought I’d be out of there, so I phoned Rupindre... But it turned out that I wouldn’t have had to phone him, because the meeting itself only lasted a short time. And the whole time I was there, I felt like they were giving me (and everyone present – not many came)... A guilt trip, and pressuring me to accept responsibilities such as chair person, treasurer (yeah right!) ... And etc.... I kept thinking "No wonder they're having trouble getting new members".. They MAY have recruited me for doing the newsletter, which I might actually enjoy doing.... But hopefully the other lady who wanted to do that, will. (She wasn’t there)... Anyway..... It was almost enough to make me think I don’t want to rejoin in January (when the membership comes due again... ) I certainly didn’t feel like I got 25$’s worth last year. ... But... I’ll stick with it for a while longer. (At least until this membership runs out).
Anyway. After the meeting, I waited for a short time that felt longer, for Rupindre to pick me up and we went in to talk to our friend S, at “Holland Home Leisure”.... And .... I couldn’t believe it, but we actually decided on which one, and ordered a Hot tub!!!!
....Sunday(Sept. 26th), was mostly a relaxing day... (we had thought Rupindre would be at work all weekend, and that I’d be helping him... But he didn’t need to after all, yay).. In the evening he went to his first Rehearsal, and it went well. =)
Then on Monday (Sept. 27th)evening, The Electricians came to see what supplies they needed.... And to talk to us a bit.... And they said it would speed things up and help them a great deal, if we dug an 18 inch trench... Leading from the house to under the deck... So... We did that up to where we knew... AND did some mowing of the jungle yard, and moved a lot of the rocks from the rock pile, and made a little area to work as a “shed” sort of... (just put the garbage can and old junk and the wheel barrow and etc.... In that area, on garbage bags and stuff).... And etc... We were working in the dark.... And were getting tired, so we gave up for the evening.
Tuesday (Sept. 28th) morning the guys that were originally sent to reinforce the deck, ended up staying all day, to build an extension (we got a slightly bigger tub than we originally thought, so we needed extra space).... They got done JUST before the rain started.... And then I finished digging the trench (because we now knew where to make it).. Well, by this time it was pouring rain, and it was getting dark..... But I managed to get it done just the same. .... Wet snow, sticking to the shovel is one thing.... But mud is another. ... I just read a tip .... That says that if you spray a shovel with non stick stuff, (cooking stuff)... It’ll help with that sticky situation. I think I’ll try that this winter. (maybe). ...
Wednesday Morning (Sept. 29th), The electricians came back, and set up the breaker and the ground wires and etc... It was perfect timing! They were just picking up their stuff and getting ready to go when , the tub arrived! .... And so for the next two hours, they set stuff up, and filled the tub with water... Well, I was afraid of that... But the well, decided to go brown on us again. .... So the tub was full of disgusting brown water. (they said they’d seen worse and that it wasn’t uncommon... ).... So... The rest of the day was filled with putting the necessary chemicals in, and making the jets work hard, to filter all that sand out.... And that evening, we had a few of the guys over to play d20 modern (role playing)... And so we showed them the tub and told them the details I just told you... But the tub wasn’t quite ready to use yet. ... But by 3 am, the water was clear, and the test strips said that everything was great and as it should be. But we were just too tired to get in it. Sigh. ... So we went to bed....
Yesterday afternoon (Thursday), we brought a sample of the water in the tub, in to the store... And it was almost perfect, just needed 3 chemical treatments. Which Rupindre did 2 of, before going back to work. Before leaving the store though, we got a goody bag, full of neat stuff, like glasses that’ll float in the tub (for water, which we’re supposed to drink a lot of when we’re in the tub).... And towels, smelly stuff (but it’s actually a nice one, that we got to pick, kinda like a soft coconut smell)... And other stuff...... Rupindre had hoped to get back from work by 10 pm, and W and D were supposed to come ... But Poor Rupindre had a very difficult day, and wasn’t feeling well, and got snagged at work, ‘til midnight I think it was..... So, the guys said they’d come another time... But when Rupindre got home, we did the last chemical treatment, got ready and soaked in it ..... And that made it “official” and felt a little more “real”. ... All week I kept saying.... “it’s hard to believe”... And stuff... It’s still hard to believe... But I go downstairs, and there it is! It’s on the deck! Heh. =) .... And I love it! .... Now, people are gonna have to start visiting us. =)
So, now we have a payment to do each month, for 3 years or so. So, we’ll probably have to cut down on a lot of spending for a while. I wonder what our Financial advisor will say. Hee hee. .... Rupindre calls this our “Major purchase of the decade”. Heh. =) Apparently, we’re special. =) Usually people have to wait for weeks, even months, before everyone’s been able to do their part .... And actually have their tub set up.... We had ours very fast. =) And, we didn’t want to tell anyone about it, until it was “Official”, incase, at any point we changed our minds, or that it ended up taking the months that it usually does, before we had it... And etc.... Besides, it was still so hard to believe, ‘til we actually got in it. =) We had been thinking about it since last year when we had sat in our Friends Libby and her husband’s tub... And Rupindre did a lot of research, and we have some money saved up and stuff... So .... Anyway...
This Morning, I got in the tub by myself... Still a great experience, but a lot better with others sharing it. But last night, and this morning, were perfect weather for it. =)

In other news. I have recently joined an online workshop (that’s what I’ll call it – but it’s “forever or until I unsubscribe”...) ... Called “Fly Lady.net”... And that has inspired me to do a lot of house work and some de-cluttering around here.... So between the events I described above... I’ve also done some things that to me, felt “Huge” before doing them... And that I had been putting off for a long time (way too long)... And also some things that never really occurred to me to do, and that I didn’t know how to do (but have learned)... =) So, For example, yesterday I thoroughly scurbbed and shined the shower/tub.. (it was hard to get the sand/rust stains out, but I managed, it took most of the day... Because I would soak and leave it for a bit, and scrub and etc...), I am proud of myself for finally doing that... But the “Vim” I used for the job, is very strong smelling and buggered up my throat (still feeling it today)... And if the windows hadn’t been open I’d have had a bad headache from it too... Which is part of the reason that I usually put it off way too long....But I realized that if I maintain it better and if I do a thorough cleaning more often, It’ll be a lot easier on me, so I’m going to try... (is there a “house work for dummies” book? =) I did the vacuuming, cleaned out the fridge, I’ve recently shined the sink and have been maintaining it... And I do things like make the bed every morning, now. Wow. It’s amazing how much difference that makes. And I am doing the dishes a lot more often. Maintenance is the key (as my sister kept telling me, and I did believe her, I just didn’t have the motivation). This Fly Lady, has a way of getting you motivated, it’s strange. ... And I don’t do everything she says to do In the many e-mails I get each day, but it’s still making a big difference.... And I feel more productive and stuff... . I like a lot of the tips and other stuff that I get from it too. .... Apparently... There are a lot of people who are very similar to me, in the world. Anyway, if you’re interested here’s the website: http://www.flylady.com/

I’m sure there was more... But this’ll do for now. Heh. =) Have a great day!

Good Weekend. =)

Well, it is a cool day, cloudy with sunny breaks.

I hope all is well with you. ....

The bad news first....Rupindre’s Brother, R, was rushed to the Hospital on Sunday evening. He was at church, and got a Colitis, attack (a severe one). He’s home again, now, but he’s not well.

And my sister’s rescued squirrels, despite all their efforts, didn’t make it. All three died. =(

On to better news.

From early morning on Monday, the 13th, ‘til late in the night, on Wednesday, the 15th, Rupindre was in Amherst, on Business... Because I wasn’t feeling too well, and for many other reasons, I wasn’t able to go with him. I didn’t get much done around here... On Wednesday, I was feeling a lot better... And Mame and L (my Mom and Sister) came to visit, and it was a great day! =) We hadn’t seen each other in way too long!... We did some sign language lessons, went shopping (for Hallowe’en stuff mostly) and did some crocheting too. =) ... Anyway... We had a great day. (I don’t remember if I already told you about that, or not, so sorry if I’m repeating myself).

Rupindre went to his Doctor’s appointment on Thursday, it went well... He got a lot of questions answered and stuff... And he doesn’t have to go back unless he has more questions or whatever. ... His eye continues to improve... And he has not made his decision about the meds, yet.
That evening, he was supposed to go to a rehearsal, but he had misunderstood... The important night was Saturday... But it worked out ok just the same. ...

On Friday morning, we got up around 4am.... But ended up having a nap, left around.. 7am, or something like that... Not sure... We drove the rental car, to the A factory... We took the scenic route this time, through the famous “Hills”. So now I finally know what people are talking about. I had a similar reaction to when we went to NB... I had a “Nostalgic feeling, for something I’ve never had”.... (Hard to explain).. Anyway, it was beautiful farm land, wonderful houses, lots of horses, and lots of rivers... And just beautiful land, and the road was very serpentine.

We couldn’t check into the hotel until 1pm, but arrived around 11:30 I think it was... so I stayed in the car, at the Amherst factory, and ... Did some reading, and stuff like that... Around 4pm I think it was, Rupindre was finally able to get away... And we went to Jungle Jim’s with J (a co-worker, who is here from Ontario, for this “migration” (it’s a computer term, in this case... And they’re doing it to all the 20 (or however many there are) facilities in the company.... So, Rupindre has a lot of long hours and possible business trips coming up – but because of his commitment to do the play, he likely won’t be going as much as they want him to, at least. ... Anyway.... I think what they’re doing is updating operating systems on ALL computers, and also “Servers”... So.... It’s a huge job, and takes a lot of time, per computer. ... Anyway... For the next few days, I was in the hotel, while Rupindre and J worked away.... And Despite the heavy rain, and high winds.... I went shopping on Saturday... I was looking for Hallowe’en stuff, And Christmas stuff... But didn’t find too much of what I needed... Did buy a few things for storage and for an art project.... Anyway, it was a fun adventure. (the malls were within walking distance from the hotel). I was soaking wet.... But it was kinda fun.. =) And I watched a lot of TV... (Decorating shows, mostly). =) .... I was very spoiled, so much so, that I didn’t want to come home!
IT was really relaxing and nice not to hear the phone every few minutes (with telemarketers) it only rang twice, and it was Rupindre asking me to meet him and J at Jungle Jim’s both times. =) I didn’t mind that! Hee hee. =)
His hours were pretty long... But... Except for yesterday’s pressure filled and stressful work... He says he enjoyed the last week of work ... This month is similar work, at the local factory (where Rupindre's office is).. .... Yesterday, we had to check out of the hotel by 11am, so, as soon as we had the complimentary breakfast,... We left the hotel, and I again, sat in the Car, reading, and drawing and etc, I think I went through TV withdrawal, a little bit.. *Sigh* .... It was a good day. *Grins* Around 7pm, he was done there, we ate at Jungle Jim’s, and saw J Again... =) ... Headed home... We stopped in to visit E, first... We got home...I’m not sure when, but it was late by the time we got to bed... (around 2:30 am, I think)... And today we got up around 7:30, and he’s at work now. ....

During my shopping adventures... I have discovered that "Buck or Two" stores are all going out of business. =( I will miss the stores! Right now, it’s great because everything’s on sale... Of course it’s not so great, because there isn’t much left. It's sad. And I think Dollarama is to blame. =(

Mrs. Bear is happy to see us, and has been cuddly! =) .... Rupindre's brother J, was kind enough to look after her for us, while we were gone. =)

So, I guess the Catch up on everything game has begun, again. I’m down to 23 e-mails, from 62, not too bad this time. =)

Better News.

Well, Rupindre went to his appointment on Wednesday afternoon, and he chatted for a long time with the doctor about all sorts of things. It’s a great load off my mind, that Rupindre does NOT have things such as Diabetes, heart trouble, or other serious things that he was tested for. I’m also happy to report that his eye, is improving, still. The not so great thing, is that some of the symptoms that Rupindre’s had for a long time, that seem to have gotten worse lately... Seem to be caused by a progressive... “limbic disfunction”. (A chemical imbalance in the brain)... So, my image of DR. Gunn, was a little shaken when I learned that he gave Rupindre a prescription for “Wellbutrin” (which he insists is NOT like all the other anti depressants in fact, he claims it’s not one) Anyway, we have a video to watch... And something to think about. ... Something that helped me with trusting Dr. Gunn, still, is that he said “It’s totally up to you” and gave us some info to look at... And answered all of Rupindre’s questions, and he has another appointment next week, to discuss it further... And stuff. .... I really don’t trust meds like this, as you all know... But it sounds like it may really help Rupindre, and he was explaining a lot of things, that made me think, it may even help myself and my sister, too! ... Whatever he decides, I hope it’s the right choice. ... According to Dr. Gunn, he can try it for a couple of weeks or so, should feel changes within a couple of days, and can stop taking it at any point just like that... , without even needing an appointment... And that there aren’t really any side effects to worry about...But when we did a little bit of research on the net... There were some alarming things, FOR me....Though, Rupindre said “I have those “side effects now!”... I don’t know, what to think. (Some of the “symptoms” I’m talking about are feeling tired all the time, no matter how much sleep he gets (even too much sleep)... And having more and more trouble concentrating on things, and being really into something (like building our rock walls)... , and then “not caring” about it at all.. When I said “Isn’t that just normal?” ... He said he means it swings like that fast..... He could go through cycles like that 3 or 4 times a day, sometimes. .... And etc...

I just don’t know what to think. But it’s his choice. One good thing, is that if he takes them... He shouldn’t (and said he won’t) drink alcohol. =)

Anyway, in other news, my friend Lady Misty’s parent’s dog, Brandy, who is 14 years old.... Has had something that I would describe as a seizure or stroke or something... I hope he’ll be ok... They thought he was dead... But he is not. =) And Lady Misty herself has had some good things happen with her University Studies, so that’s great. =)

Rupindre’s been talking about not going to “Tuesday Night Out” as often, anymore... I believe that’ll likely be the case, especially since he’s going to be busy with work and the play, now...

On Wednesday evening, the last Reyas Session (for a few months)... Ran late... And went ok... I think we’re all too tired, and stressed out, lately.

The book I am reading now, is called “Healing the Shame that Binds you” by John Bradshaw. I have only read a few pages, but already, I am saying things like “Oh!”, “Oh, that’s why?!, Huh!” .. And stuff like that. I saw him on a PBS special, once in the early 80’s .... And I think I read one of his books a long time ago. I like him. .... He’s “gentle”... ...but gives similar thoughts and advice as Dr. Phil does. Plus stuff all his own, too. =)

I have recently discovered, that my Update letter, I had written, and also my update from where the letter left off, ‘til the 1rst of the last 3 updates, I did up.... ... Are missing! ... Since the operating system change (of my computer). ... Hopefully, Rupindre will be able to help me find it, soon. ... So that I can go through it all and type up another letter... And stuff. Sigh. ......... I feel like I’ll never be caught up on anything ever again.... And I really hope that everyone has been surviving the violent hurricanes and such terrible forces, that have been going on, latlely.... One of my pen Friends has sent me a note letting me know she’s ok.... But that was before IVAN – Class 5 hit! .... ...

I realize that sitting in front of the computer typing about this stuff, doesn’t get it done... But I just don’t have the motivation to do what needs doing I’m just too overwhelmed...

My Sister’s Common Law husband rescued some baby squirrels, and they're caring for them, they have to be bottle fed and stuff.... When they are ready, they will set them free. =) ....

I am so upset over the Canadian Idol results show, last night. I don't care who wins now. Either one is at the same level, for me. ... I truly hope that Jacob will continue with his career.

On Monday, through Wednesday, and possibly longer, Rupindre’s going to A Offices (and will be putting in very long hours)... And J, may go with him, they don’t know for sure, yet. .... I COULD go... But I think I’ll stay home with Mrs. Bear, and ... Maybe, hopefully, get some of my “overwhelmed stuff” done.

I’m sure there was something else, but for now, that’s all.

Follow ups.

It’s been raining off and on all day, but it’s muggy hot.

To follow up on some of the things from the last few updates... My jaw is back to what is normal for me.

My Friend Lady Misty’s dog, Teaa’s vet appointment went well, and she is ok, so I’ve been told, but I don’t know much more detail. I still owe Lady Misty a phone call.

I feared that Rupindre may not be able to do the play after all, because of his eye troubles, but it looks like he will... Rehearsals start this Sunday, we don’t know yet, what that schedule will be like.
On Saturday, we had to go in to do the production reporting (PR), he thought he had to do other work too, but it turned out he didn’t have to, so that was great. But the PR was very difficult... We got through it though, eventually. Then we went Grocery Hunting, as Rupindre put it, there were so many people in the store it was so hard to shop, but we had a huge amount in our cart, a lot of stuff was for a “build your own Buritadillas” that we would have on Monday.... (more later)... That evening, we went to Center Stage Theater to see “The Trial of Goldilocks” it was only a half hour long.... And it was funny! We enjoyed it. =) We go see all plays that we can, once, to help support the theater. (In case you were wondering why we’d go see kid’s plays, without having kids to take to it).
I finished reading “Constructive Living”. .... A few good ideas.... It basically explains HOW to “live in the moment”. =) Which is good. I haven’t decided yet, which will be my next book, in my huge stack.

So, on Monday (Labour Day) we had fun; it was a good day. Rupindre and I did some de-cluttering, and rearranging and etc... In the kitchen/dinette, and “parleur” rooms... So we are able to use our table again... It’s like a whole new house. I wish we could maintain and have it stay like this longer than we usually do.... Anyway... Our friends showed up around 1pm or so... And we played various types of games.... Had the “build your own buritadillas) and people came and went.... We had chips and salsa, Hummus, and bean dip to choose from... And later there were even some Tim Bits! .... I ate way too much! ... This went on, until around 3am.... And Rupindre had to get up around 4 for work the next day... But he didn’t manage it... Instead he did the support work, over the phone, which rang every few minutes.... For over an hour. .... So, not very restful... Then of course, he went to work for the day... I didn’t expect him to get away from work “early” ... But he did (around 4:20pm), and we went to “Tuesday Night out”. I got the usual to eat (Veggie Quesadilla, garden salad with ranch dressing, and a strawberry smoothie)... I wanted to order something different, but really, that’s the only thing they have that’s kinda good, but I got a butterscotch Sunday... Which wasn’t as good as the first one I’d had there, but was still good....but I shouldn’t have eaten it... I was SO full for hours.. I ate way too much, again... . ... Anyway.... We were both tired, and wanted to go to bed, but we didn’t want to get heart burn and stuff, so we stayed up a little longer... But gave up and went to bed around 9pm or so...

Rupindre had another eye doctor’s appointment, this afternoon. Sheesh, what he had to endure, just sounds rough... I’m glad it wasn’t me, and I’m glad it’s over (he doens't have to go back, thank goodness!). And the Doctor, again, had little patience, or any kind of understanding nor consideration of Rupindre’s feelings. If I ever get up enough nerve to get another eye exam... It won’t be him I go to, that’s for sure!! If you can, avoid seeing Dr. John Schaffner! .... Anyway , the good news is, that Rupindre’s eye has greatly improved, and he only needs to take one type of eye drop, and not as often now, which is great. And we do have evidence that it’s true... It does look MUCH better. ... Tomorrow afternoon, he has a Doctor’s appointment.

On Monday evening, I got a couple of phone calls from my Tante (aunt) C, ... =) It was a pleasant surprise to hear from her. =) ... She is doing some family tree stuff. =)

The new season of Dr. Phil, Oprah, and Degrassi:the next generation, have begun. I missed all but the last 15 minutes or so, of Degrassi, last night, and it looks like it was a good one. And it lasted one hour... =( ... Oh well, hopefully I’ll catch the repeat show. =) ....

With winter being just around the corner, and with cooler days and nights, We are thinking about a hot tub, again.... (we would pay monthly, and cut down on other spending, of course). ... It’s too bad, but we missed out on the contest, we could have WON one. ... ! ... It’s so much money though... It’s a big decision.

Well, I must go, we have company coming tonight... For a Reyas Session. (Role playing game). It’s the last session of this series, for a few months, but we’re gonna be playing “d 20 Modern” (another type of role playing game set in the modern day and world, but with “supernatural” creatures in existence...), which D is GM’ing. (Game Mastering). .... (less pressure and time consumption for Rupindre).
Oh and on Monday, we met a new guy, who is taking part in the d20 Modern game... His name is the same as two others in the group!.... Anyway, the new F, seems likeable enough. He seems young (like 17 or so), but I don’t know how old he is... and I'm usually a very bad judge of it...And the only real “gripe” I have, is that he smokes. However, I didn’t have to tell him, he went outside each time, to smoke, so that’s good, I knew right away though, as soon as he entered the house, I smelled the smoke on him.

May you have Peace and happiness, now and always.

been a while, .... long update. Part Two.

And this is the update I typed up today... it's the "Bad news" one....

Where to start? What a week! It’s Already, Friday, September 3rd, 2004.

Well, In the last update, I forgot to mention a few things. =)

Our friend L is pregnant. She’s very excited about it, her husband is happy too, but he seems less excited about getting all the baby stuff and things. =)

On Monday when Rupindre got back from work, we went to D’s house (L is his sister, and actually it’s hers and her husband’s house and pool, D lives there)......., and had some fun in the pool and it felt great because it was a VERY hot day. .. I spent over 4 hours in the pool! =) Then, we had BBQ .... (we had brought our veggie burgers) and yummy steamed string beans made in a special steamer thingy....... Then we watched Star Gate: Atlantis... It was a fun afternoon, and evening. =) On our way there, we bought some big towels.... And it was kinda funny, because when I came out of the pool, and used one, I had fuzzy black stuff all over my arms... I think, now that I’ve washed them, they’ll be ok though, I hope. =)

Tuesday’s production reporting was a bit difficult, lots of little problems arose. But we managed to get it done by 10 am, which was pretty good. Once Rupindre got home from work, we ran an errand, and then went to “Tuesday Night Out” - early... I taxied.. For the evening... It was the first time I drove with 3 other people in the car, I think... Maybe not, but it’s not something I’m used to doing, it was kinda neat though..... Except for accidentally running a red light (no traffic and thank goodness, no police so I got lucky that time) it all went pretty well..... Rupindre did get a little tipsy... We saw the movie “Hero”, which is a visual work of art. I love most of the music too... But it’s subtitled and I couldn’t keep up with it at all, Rupindre tried to help by whispering in my ear, reading it for me, but we were both too uncomfortable... So he gave up the effort, I appreciated the thought though. So, I only have a vague idea of the story. I think the only thing I’d recommend it for, is because there’s a lot of beautiful scenes and creative camera work and effects, It’s like an abstract piece of art, with motion and sound... To me, it was inspiring ...for an art project, I’ll want to do someday ... I should scribble that down on one of my millions of “idea scraps”. Anyway... So, we got home, and in bed by a sort of decent hour. .... Wednesday, Rupindre was not feeling good at all (perhaps hung over? Dunno, I think it was a combination of things.. His eye (which I’ll explain a bit later, fatigue, hunger, stress, and stuff...) , So, we got through the production reporting, then came home, and had a nap for a while. Then he went back to work, and when he came home, he seemed to be feeling much better. . . Then, we had a Roll playing session .... Well, it went until around 2am, and a few of the guys stood around talking ‘til around 3... And then, of course we had to go in to do production reporting yesterday morning... But we ended up sleeping in a bit, so we got to work about an hour late (by 6 instead of 5 or 5:30)... But Thank my Higher Power, there wasn’t a lot of trouble with the production reporting this time.. And there was less to do... Rupindre had a dream that we had a nice long nap before we went in.... And I think it helped him feel rested, because he seemed way more “awake” than he should have been. . Heh. =)

Rupindre had a doctor’s appointment yesterday, at 1:30pm. I kept telling him, over the last few years, that he should have a check up.... And ask a few questions about the various problems he’s been having, like back pain, headaches, and etc... But he always sort of put it off (which, to be honest, I totally understand and do myself whenever I can get away with it! And I really don’t know if I trust “professionals” in the health fields...)..... But this week, he’s had a problem with his right eye. ... It’s very red (blood shot)... It waters, and causes pain if he looks at the light, he has trouble focusing and seeing with that eye.. And etc.. So, finally, he made an appointment... So, yesterday, his doctor sent him to an eye surgeon and had it looked at.... Then, he had to go back to the doctor. Which resulted, in Rupindre needing to have a lot of tests done this morning. Yesterday.... The eye doctor, said he definitely has a problem that needs to be dealt with, and the scary part is, that it IS vision threatening! ... SO, we have to tackle it now, before it’s too late. He has two types of eye drops to put in twice daily – each... And Poor Rupindre has a lot of trouble with having stuff put in his eyes, like that.... He had a hard time when the eye doctor had to do stuff yesterday, too and he said the doctor didn’t seem to have a lot of patience.. =( ... And there are more appointments next week..... He’ll have to have the eye dilated, and stuff.. So I’ll need to drive. There was a lot of information... I’m not really sure what more to say about it, at this point. It’s scary, and it’s causing him a lot of trouble. (he has trouble concentrating on work too... Because of it... ) but it got a bit better today. A lot of people told him it was probably just an allergy or infection, and even the doctor thought so at first, until he heard all the symptoms and the fact that it’s happened a few times before, this year. ... I wish I could snap my fingers and make him healthy. Last night, we went to bed around 8pm! So, Today, we got up around 4 am, went in, did the production reporting – as best we could, some of the paperwork wasn’t available to us, and there were several things that didn’t make a lot of sense... (Of course, it would be a troublesome day to report on, today)... BUT... We managed to get that done around 7:30 or so... Then, we went to the hospital, and waited, and he had blood work done, then we went to the cafeteria and had yummy muffins and orange juice, then we found the place, and waited, then he had a Cardiogram (I think).... Then we came home, had a nap, and then went back to the hospital around 11:30, and waited... Then he had a chest X-Ray. ....Now he’s at work, and I’m trying to get motivated to do some much needed housework.

Hmmm I wonder, if Rupindre will still do the play, now that his eye is troublesome.

Meanwhile, Patch, seems to be having problems, too. There’s some chirping, and on Tuesday, D (who has some background in auto mechanics) ... Noticed a smell, and asked if some fluid or other was leaking.... I don’t know if it is or not... But We smelled whatever D smelled, a few times yesterday and today... Not good. And there’s the squeak of the rear breaks, sometimes... Too.... Ho hum.

I’m very tired, but not so much today, as I was yesterday and most of the week.

I got a call from my friend Lady Misty, yesterday.... Her dog, Teaa, is sick. =( She had a vet appointment this morning. I wonder how it went. I got an e-mail from my sister today... Saying that her dog, Rosie’s arthritis has spread some (which is normal for that disease).... But I think Rosie will be ok, she’s on a diet, and has to have two 20 minute walks per day (exercise, which is good for my sister, and her other dog Katie).

When Rupindre phoned his Mom to tell her about his eye troubles... She told him that his brother’s been having severe pain, has been off of work for about a week, and needs to have lots of tests done and stuff.... (He has Chrones disease, and is apparently acting up.) ..... =(

Well. I’d like to leave this on a brighter note.... So I’ll say, today it’s a beautiful day... It’s sunny but not intolerably hot. (A bit chilly, in fact!) So that’s good. =) (For me.)
Also, my Jaw, is a lot better, back to normal for me, now. =)
And the new seasons of Oprah and Dr. Phil are underway. We missed the shows this week, except for yesterday's Dr. Phil... but that's ok, that's what repeats are for, later. =)

Following, will be info about “Iritis”... The eye condition that Rupindre is being tested for (and we think it is, as almost all the symptoms match).....

http://www.emedicinehealth.com/articles/14568-1.asp
(This is the website we got the info from (a very good site, if you want to look up info about health conditions).

Iritis Overview

The iris is a circular, pigmented membrane that provides the eye its color and forms the pupil of the eye.

The iris is made up of muscular fibers that control the amount of light entering the pupil so that we can see clearly. The iris accomplishes this task by making the pupil smaller in bright light and larger in dim light.

In some people, the iris can become inflamed. This is termed iritis.

Iritis Causes

Iritis may be a consequence of trauma (traumatic iritis) or nontraumatic causes. In a significant number of cases, no cause for the iritis is found. (The doctors are trying to assess what the cause is for Rupindre’s.)

Blunt trauma to the eye can cause traumatic inflammation of the iris.

Nontraumatic iritis is frequently associated with certain diseases, such as ankylosing spondylitis, Reiter syndrome, sarcoidosis, inflammatory bowel disease, and psoriasis. (We figure this is the type he has. And he is also being checked out for the other diseases listed here. We know that he DOES have psoriasis, has had that for many years).

Infectious causes may include Lyme disease, tuberculosis, toxoplasmosis, syphilis, and herpes simplex and herpes zoster viruses.

Iritis Symptoms

Iritis usually develops quickly and generally affects only?one eye. (It has only affected, Rupindre’s right eye.)

Signs and symptoms may include any or all of the following:

Pain in the eye or brow region (His eyeball itself has been hurting severely, especially for the first couple hours of the morning)

Worsened eye pain when exposed to bright light (yup, he has that, that’s gotten a little better the last couple of days though).

Reddened eye, especially adjacent to the iris (His eye has been VERY red, seems a lot better today though for redness).

Small or funny shaped pupil (not that I noticed, really)

Blurred vision (yes, in that eye)

Headache (I’m not sure, but I think so, he has headaches often, anyway, and often he goes all day, with one and I don’t even know it.)

When to Seek Medical Care

Notify your ophthalmologist (a medical doctor who specializes in eye care and surgery) (That’s the type of doctor that Rupindre’s GP sent him to yesterday) if any of the following signs or symptoms are present:

Eye pain, including pain associated with bright light

Blurred vision

Redness in the eye, especially around the iris

(As mentioned above, he has all three of these)

If you cannot reach your ophthalmologist, then seek medical attention at a hospital's emergency department.

Questions to Ask the Doctor

Are there any signs of permanent damage to the eye?

Are there any signs of permanent vision loss?

(We don’t know the answers yet, I suspect this is part of the reason for next week’s eye doctor appointment. )

Exams and Tests

The diagnosis of iritis is confirmed by examining the eye with a slit lamp (a special microscope designed for eye examination). Your ophthalmologist can see cells (white blood cells) and flare (particles of protein) in the aqueous humor (fluid that is produced in the eye). (Rupindre said that when the doctor did this, it was kinda neat in a way, because he could see all the veins in his eye...)

Two other physical examination findings aid your ophthalmologist in diagnosing iritis.
Topical anesthetics do not relieve the pain associated with iritis.
Shining light in the normal, unaffected eye causes pain in the affected eye if iritis is present. This is because shining light in one eye causes both pupils to constrict. So, movement of the affected iris causes pain.
(I think this happens, to Rupindre, but I’m not sure).

Iritis Treatment

Self-Care at Home

Iritis requires prescription medications and follow-up visits with an ophthalmologist, so seeking medical care is very important.

Use prescription medications exactly as prescribed.

Wear dark glasses if light worsens your eye pain.

Take mild analgesics, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Advil), to help control some of the discomfort.

Apply heat to the eye in the form of a warm towel to help relieve some of the discomfort. (He will probably try this.)

Medical Treatment

Treatment includes the use of medication in the form of eye drops to allow for healing and to help decrease eye pain. (As I mentioned in the update, He has been prescribed two types of eye drops).

Medications

Treatment includes the use of a medication (in the form of eye drops) to dilate (widen) the pupil and to prevent spasm of the iris muscles so that the inflamed iris can rest. This allows for healing and helps decrease the eye pain. (This looks really strange, and creepy, but not as bad as if it were both eyes).

Steroid eyedrops are also prescribed unless an infectious agent (virus or bacteria) caused the iritis. Steroid eyedrops?help decrease the inflammation of the iris. If the eye does not improve within a week, your ophthalmologist may consider prescribing steroid pills or steroid injections around the eye. The length of treatment depends on the severity of disease and how well the eye improves with the treatment.
(Rupindre and I don’t like the idea of using steroids of any kind – he could get special cream for his psoriasis, but he avoids using them. We both made a horrified noise, when we read “steroid injections around the eye”!!!!!!! )

Next Steps

Follow-up

In all cases of iritis, follow-up care with your ophthalmologist is essential. In cases of nontraumatic iritis, your ophthalmologist will evaluate you for the presence of associated diseases.

Outlook

Traumatic iritis usually goes away within 1-2 weeks. Nontraumatic iritis may take weeks, and occasionally months, to resolve. (Let us hope and pray that it won’t last THAT long!!).

Infectious causes of iritis will resolve once measures are taken to treat the infection.

Certain cases of iritis (those associated with systemic diseases, such as sarcoidosis or ankylosing spondylitis) may be chronic or recurrent. (This, I believe is the 3rd or 4rth time he’s experienced this eye problem, this year. He didn’t have this before this year. ... The other times, though, it went away faster, and the symptoms were milder – I THINK).

Ophthalmologists may instruct certain people who are at high risk of having recurrent iritis to always have steroid eyedrops on hand so that they may begin using them at the first sign of a recurrence. Hmmmm. (We’re gonna see what we can find for a more “natural approach”. )

(There’s a wealth of information on this website. But I guess that gives you an idea of what Rupindre is dealing with.)

Been a While, .... long update. Part One.

The following is an update I typed up a while ago, but didn't post.... didn't have time, to make the necessary name changes and etc....

Hi Everyone, Monday, August 30th, 2004.
Again, I apologize for not typing sooner. And if I owe you a response(s), please be patient! I have, once again, fallen behind on many things.
I Hope all is well with you.

Well, things have been “busy as usual and a little unusual too”.. But pretty good. =) ... Forgive me if I repeat myself here...

September 23rd, was a Lakeside and Amherst day, and I think it was that day that Rupindre was done “Early” (which is so rare, hardly ever happens). .. Not sure. But anyway, it was a good day, despite the fact that I didn’t feel too great (but nothing to worry about) for about 2 weeks, around that time). ... From September 27th, to Monday, August 2nd, I was dog sitting for Oscar Fudge. =) While Rupindre's Mom was at camp. =) Oscar was a good boy, for the most part. We had a few minor incidents. One was that he pretended to have a sore paw... (he scared us enough to take him to the vet!... But it was just an act). ... And once he left a lot of urine on our floor....I can’t figure out how all that could fit inside that tiny dog... And a few times he’d tell me he needed to go out, but wouldn’t do anything when I’d take him. ... That was especially annoying when it happened at 3 am..... And Mrs. Bear wasn’t exactly a happy camper. ... But, Like I said, those were minor incidents. I did enjoy Oscar’s cuddly self. =) ... And he is well behaved most of the time. And I got some exercise out of it, when I took him for walks. =) When he did those things, I’m sure he was just missing E and wanting some attention. ... Anyway... Oscar came with us to my brother's house, On the Sunday before he went home. ... My Nephew K, has moved to Ontario with his friend J, so we had a “going away party” for him that weekend. .... I’ve since heard news that they made it there just fine, and that they both got a job.. And things are going really well. =) That’ll give us someone else to visit whenever we’re in Ontario on business or whatever. =)

The next week, I didn’t do too much, because I wasn’t feeling so good. (I’ve been eating too much junk food, again and not eating enough of the “healthy stuff” and not exercising enough. So my body pays me back.) I did manage to make a few Crocheted squares, to send to Louise (who was mentioned in my last post on here).... who wants to make a blanket (or more than one)... To give to charity. ... I haven’t completed that project yet... So I haven’t sent her anything yet, but do plan to, soon. ....
(I have e-mailed info about that to those I could, and plan to include info about it in the next snail mail letters I send).

Saturday, August 21rst, was our 11/10th anniversary. (11th of the day we met, and 10th wedding). Thank you to those of you who sent us some wonderful cards and good wishes. =) We spent most of the day, just the two of us, relaxing, it was great. =) Then, we went shopping for storage boxes, and I also got another storage tower on wheels (Love those), a shredder, and a few other things that we’ve needed, taking advantage of the “back to school sales”. =)... it was fun,... And ... Rupindre was on Vacation From Monday, til Friday. (and of course there’s no work on the weekend (well, not usually – there was a Saturday, recently that he had to work... A few hours), so he had 9 days off from work, sort of).... You see, the people where he works, don’t seem to understand what “vacation” means. ... ... So, on Monday, he had to be there most of the day.. But at least, I was able to go with him, and he closed his door, and didn’t answer the phone, nor e-mails, he was only there to do a specific thing, and support one person, as she was doing some kind of .... Important thing, that I haven’t the foggiest idea about. But anyway, she needed his help. It was kinda neat being sneaky like that though. =) And I had an “art attack” . =)... I did many drawings, several were inspired by neat doodles that Rupindre does. =) .... And One would inspire another idea, and so on and so on. .... It went by really fast.

Other highlights.... Were that we went for walks a few times, we went swimming at our friend D’s Sister’s pool a few times that was so much fun... One of those times, I even had the pool all to myself!!! (they were sitting on the pool deck talking about role playing stuff) =). We even did some de-cluttering and organizing (Still lots to do, but... It was a good start) =) Friday, was Garbage day, and we took 6 bags of recyclables out... But they only took 4. (there’s a limit of 4 recyclables, and 4 garbage bags, per “unit” - I knew that, but Since the neighbor didn’t have 4 out, I hoped they’d take them anyway). (Anyway, it’s a bit frustrating, trying to clean up this mess that is our home, when garbage day is only every 2 weeks, and there’s a limit, like that...even though I understand why they have to do that)... ... We also spent some time playing a computer game, and etc.... We watched a few movies, .... Last night, we watched “Blade 2” it wasn’t very good at all. (We don’t usually watch that type, but.. D wanted us to see it, and it’s his DVD, so it was free... And he wanted us to watch it as reference for a new role playing game we’ll be starting soon (That’s something else we’ve been doing this past week, working on characters, for that)....same with the movie we saw the night before... “xXx” (Vin Diesel). But that one was a bit better. ... Anyway. We watched a 6 hour (or around there) one, called “Noble House” (it’s an old one that Rupindre had taped). It started slowly, but got pretty interesting after a while..... I don’t remember the other ones we’ve seen recently. I think there was a few good ones though, heh... =)

Something else I’ve been doing lately... Is reading. ... I’ve finished reading “Adult Children of Alcoholics Syndrome: A guide to Discovery and Recovery” by Wayne Kritsberg. .. I would like to own that book. (It’s my sister’s). .. In the first several chapters, I kept thinking... “that’s not completely accurate” for one sentence, but then, identifying or agreeing with the next one... Then there’s a neat... “self help, writing assignment” thing... It’s quite intensive... I’d like to try it. But I think it would work easier, if I had the book to refer to. I read through it all... And think I would get a lot out of doing that. .. Anyway... Now, I’m about half way through “Constructive Living” by David K. Ryenolds. I don’t particularly care for the way the author wrote it, and I feel insulted, offended, and called “Stupid”, often – not sure if I’m just not understanding his style fully .... Or not – but anyway.. Somehow I want to keep reading... And there are some good points in it.. I think I can use some of the advice it gives. It is certainly a different way to look at things.

So, this morning, we got up around 4:15 am, got ready, and went to work. We’re covering for Jamie this week. (production reporting)... The guy who usually does it, now, is unavailable because his girlfriend’s father passed away. It went pretty good.... I remembered things as I went along..... It’s been a while though. I got home around 9:30... Considering that I’ve been up for 8 hours (or so) already... The day’s going by quite fast and I’m not as tired as I expected to be, I expect that I’ll be exhausted by the end of the week, though... (We have to go in Saturday, too)..... I don’t know what it was, but I wasn’t feeling too great when I got up, but feel much better now.

Oh, and we’ve gotten back in touch with our friend A, who was working in the city for the summer, but is coming back to University this week or soon... And so we’ll see him soon, we hope. =)

Rupindre has agreed to do another play. I THINK it’s only running the month of December (not sure) but the rehearsals and etc.. Start soon... It’s a heartwarming, Christmas story. A newlywed husband (Rupindre’s character) sells his watch (a special watch, family heirloom, or something like that, a watch he loves)... To buy a beautiful hair thingy... For his new wife. Meanwhile, she goes out and sells her beautiful long hair, to buy him a watch strap.... It even has a happy ending! =) This is my kind of story. I love it! .... So, we’ll soon be busy with that.... It’s a short play this time, and he doesn’t have very many lines..... It’s a lot less stressful this time around. .... The script itself is tiny, compared to the one he had for “You Say Tomatoes”.

Over the last few days, my jaw has been very troublesome. ... Painful, hard to chew it feels like it’s “dislocated” - not in the pain – it’s not THAT bad - but in the way my mouth closes when I’m trying to chew, just doesn’t work well.... And certain words I say shoot pain in it! (I guess it moves the jaw in the wrong way, or something)... It’s mostly just uncomfortable... But it has caused me some headaches, and trouble sleeping. ... I’ve tried doing what Dr. LaPierre (Chiropractor) had said... And it has helped some. Today, It feels a lot better, but is still not “back to normal”. I’m not sure if it’s the “TMJ” (jaw problem), or the wisdom tooth that is growing sideways and right into that last tooth before it, or a combo of both. ... I have a feeling, I’ll be having some teeth pulled soon, though. Not looking forward to that. I think my jaw will hurt for weeks after that! ... Oh well, it’s probably not as bad as I imagine.

We’ve had a lot of hot days this summer. So we’ve been eating a lot of ice-cream! And the fans have been running most of the time. I recently discovered that our hand blender will “crush ice”, so that I can make fruit smoothies, so Whenever I have fruit, I experiment. It’s fun to experiment, it’s refreshing and delicious to drink, and CAN be healthy.. Depending on what you put in it. =) It’s made, either with Ice-cream, or with Yogurt... And ice... And fruit of your choice. .... I made one with carob chips, strawberry yogurt, and a banana... And it was good! I guess, it’s kinda like a “blizzard” too.... And other experiments I plan to try... Are to freeze some pop or fruit juice, then “crush it” to see if it makes a good “slushy” or not. =) .... Anyway,.... If you have a blender that can handle ice cubes, you should try it. (if you have ice-cream, and your favorite chocolate or candy, you can make a blizzard, you can make your own ice cream flavor too, and you can even make a milk shake, with ice-cream and milk (or soy milk)... The possibilities are endless! =)

One day, Rupindre got home from work, having gone grocery shopping first, and he had a “George Foreman Grill” too. WOW!!!! If you can, I recommend that you get one!... It grills on both sides at once (if your food is thick enough) so you don’t have to struggle with flipping it... And it squeezes a lot of the fatty stuff out of it, and it does an excellent job on our stuff! It’s great! So, since then, we’ve had a lot of grilled stuff. ... Oh, and they finally got “Chick’n’ burgers” (Chick pea patties, that are a veggie version of chicken) at a grocery store... YAY! .. We love those! =) Anyway, I do recommend that grill, but, be ware, it’s not the easiest thing to clean, though it’s not TOO bad.

I have recently switched to a new operating system, so it feels like a whole new computer... And there’s a lot of things I want to do.... (basically, the computer is cluttered, and needs cleaning up and organizing too)..... And although I’m starting to get used to a lot of the “new stuff”...... And loving most of it.... Other things are being missed, and some things are even misplaced, and etc.... So I’m having extra difficulty “catching up” on things. ...

I’m beginning to think, it’ll be Christmas before I get anything ready to mail (snail mail, that is). Might as well be, it’s just around the corner. HO HUM! Those of you who have e-mail (or who read this blog) get more frequent updates...I don’t know if that’s good or bad, heh. =) I hope I don’t bore you to pieces with my ramblings... ... I feel bad, I really do.... About not having written snail mail in.. I think it’s about a year, now! =( I just feel so overwhelmed with everything I want and need to do, again. ... I’m sorry. And I am thinking of each and everyone of you....

Anyway, until next time, my friends, please take care....

Um, some good, catchy title....

Hi Everyone, It's Tuesday, August 10th, and I'm really happy right now... because I thought I had a dentist's appointment this morning at 10:30... but it turns out, it's the one that was rescheduled for Nov. 10th. YAY. =) I really didn't want to go. In fact, I'm considering not ever going again... because for the decade or more that I didn't go - things seemed fine... then I went to the dentist... and they were amazed at the good condition of my teeth, they did their thing...... then... I go again and I have cavities?! WHAT?!! Strange coincidence....... and my teeth just don't feel clean after brushing, anymore.. no matter what I do... and ... it really messes up my jaw when they are working on my teeth....... and etc.... So, I've got a theory, that plaque build up is a natural thing, to help preserve your teeth longer. .... I think it's a GOOD thing.... but, I could be way off base here... I don't know... it just seems strange... I mean, when I was little and going to the dentist regularly, I needed lots of caps, fillings and etc... for the time that I didn't go... I was fine... and then I go again and suddenly problems?! ... HMMMMMM... anyway...

Well let's see, what's been going on lately? Lots, and not much, at the same time.
We've been our usual busy selves... =)

Movies we've seen recently, ... Last Tuesday Night Out, we saw "the Bourne Supremacy" ... I came really close to falling asleep during the car chase scene...but it was interesting in parts. ... We borrowed a few on video and DVD from our friend L: "Cats and Dogs" It's funny, and sad in parts... I liked it.. but some of the things the animals go through was unnecessary. ... (yeah, I know they're just CGI effects..but still!).... "The Lion King II" pretty much the same movie as the first one, only different characters. But I enjoyed it... it made me cry and all that good stuff. =) ... "Toy Story 2" , Rupindre feels it was better than the first one... in my opinion, it was 'equally as good"... I am amazed at what they can do with CGI now. =) .. "Signs" was a lot better than I expected! Of course, I watched it just before bed, so it gave me a nightmare, but it wasn't too severe... and "The Sixth Sense" ..... wow. I am very impressed with that one, it was VERY good. (though I wouldn't recommend it to my sister). .... There are some scenes in it, that still haunt me... but it was really well done, in my opinion... I'm considering watching "the Village" that recently came out by the same director... because he has an interesting style. To me, it's "refreshingly unique". =)
On the weekend, we went to the drive-in theater, and I enjoyed the evening a lot... Their slushies and pop corn aren't the best... and despite the light rain making it hard to watch at times.... we saw two very good movies... "The Terminal" and "The Note Book" ... I loved both. but especially "The Note Book"... (I just love "pure "chick flicks" like that) =) ... *grins*. I just love the drive-in.. brings back good memories of going there with my Mom and Dad... and also.... it's just so neat to be comfy in the car... seat back, pillows, and blankets (if needed) and etc... there's just something special about it ... I can't explain.... Anyway, Those are the movies I remember... there were probably more.

So... this weekend didn't turn out at all as we had been looking forward to... We were supposed to go to "Sam Slick Days"... (a festival, near where E (Rupindre's Mom) lives)... but it rained and even had a little thunder storm! ... and Because E had to go to her Sister's for a funeral ... she wasn't able to come with us as originally planned... so instead, we stayed home, watched movies, had a few naps, and played a computer game.. Some of the things we missed were a model train ride, Alannah Myles Live, lots of other good music, book sale for charity, and etc... lots of neat stuff. =) including the parades and fire works, of course. =) (no festival is complete without them). =)

Last week, my friend, Lady Misty and I went to "Grand Pré", a park .. having something to do with the Acadien history. It was VERY hot, and Lady Misty got tired and we both had other plans for later that evening... so we didn't see it all.. I hope to go again, some day soon.... I hadn't been there since I was VERY little... and they've done a lot to it.... (there are things like an old church, a forge, beautiful, HUGE willow trees... a museum explaining things about the Acadiens and an archeological dig, where they've found neat things - like a shoe! and ceramics and etc... ) .... Like I said we didn't see it all... but we saw a neat movie, that tells the story of the Deportation.... and it was well done. ...... There were some things going on for the "World Congress".... Like, for example, we met some people from Louisianna! COOL! ... And they sang some songs for us and everything. =) .... Anyway, it was fun and interesting.... we took a few photos. =) After that, I got her to drop me off at the Pub, where the guys were meeting for "Tuesday Night Out".... I thought I saw D's car in it's usual spot.... so she left... (because of construction she had to leave me across the street...) I walked there, with jugs of laundry detergent and other awkward and heavy stuff that I got at the health food store, before going to the park... And.. when I got closer to the car, I thought... "that's not his car! DOH!"... so I waited, and waited... and ... after a while... I went to check to see if they were in our usual spot... they weren't there... and feeling silly carrying the jugs and stuff... I went back out, and waited and waited... and noticed... that no one was going to that car... so then I started to think... "gee, maybe... they're not coming" or whatever.... I think it was about an hour of waiting, before I finally went in, hoping to find a phone to use, when I saw them there... in a different spot than usual, and with fewer people than usually show up... and they were about half way through their meal.... well, I felt really stupid. And that WAS his car!!!! ... but anyway... it all worked out, I still managed to eat my usual (strawberry smoothie, veggie quasedilla, and garden salad with ranch dressing)... and then we went to the movies....... we saw Bourne Supremacy... as mentioned earlier. =)

What else? ... Oh yes! ..... I should have started with, my Nephew k's "going away party"... .... it was fun... good to have the family together, and we met some of his friends. Some good food, and fun with balloons... and lots of good photos were taken too... =) and telling "remember when" stories,.. and some riddles were figured out... and etc... it was fun.... Oscar Fudge was a good boy, and he and Rupindre had an adventure when they went for a walk at "Smuggler's Cove".... they found something that "It Green" had hidden there 2 or 3 years ago... (That was a fun thing, going on for the Craft Gang, hard to explain)... anyway..... we met "Bud" a bull dog puppy, my nephew D's. =) he is one adorable, and lazy puppy! heh. =) he sleeps and sleeps, and if you try to pick him up or something... it's like "dead weight" because he just wants to be left alone, so he can sleep. hee hee.. he's funny. =) ... And so CUTE! =) ...
The Next day, (Monday), Rupindre wasn't working, because I guess it was a holdiday of some sort! =) .... Oscar Fudge went home (I had been dog sitting for him for about a week... it went kinda rough at times, like once he faked having a sore paw - and he was so convincing we took him to the vet! .... but for the most part, he was a good boy... Mrs. Bear was NOT happy... but as soon as he left, she got over it heh)... =) , and Rupindre and I went to our friend D's and went swimming in his sister's pool!!!!! we stayed in for a few hours... and it was SO MUCH FUN!!!! WOW!!!!! ... I was amazed at how fast I got tired though.. I was out of breath after one lap of the front crawl... and stuff... anyway... it was tons of fun.... after that we had veggie burgers, and watched "Star Gate Atlantis"... ... very good day. =)

Yesterday, Lady Misty, and I met at Tim Horton's and had a chat for a while. I'm worried about her... she is depressed. And last night, we had a session. Rupindre was up 'til after 3am I think it was... I was a bit rude... but went to bed before everyone left. I was just too sleepy to stay up... and I thought I had to get up for the appointment at the dentist. =) ...

I think that's all for this time at least. ...
